Beautiful Boutique Hotel with a friendly staff
By Philip, 2/4/10
My daughter and I stayed at The Peacock Inn this past weekend and we had a great time. The staff was very friendly especially Phil, Florence, Michael and Jon. The rooms are beautiful and I truly felt like I was staying in a Four Star hotel. I can't wait to visit again.

OMG the RENOVATION IS TO DIE FOR!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/10
Okay, my husband and I stayed here 4 years ago but now, the new renovation is another reason to love Princeton! We stayed in the suite with body jet and a rain shower, had drinks at the fully renovated bar with John and took a delightful walking tour! I see the other comments and have to tell you, The Peacock Inn has changed and it is phenomenal!

Stay at your own risk!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/06
I stayed there one dreadful night in January with my daughter. The steam radiator burst while we were out at dinner and when we returned the alarm was ringing and the beds and all our clothes were wet from the condensation from the steam. My daughter and I were forced to triple up in the 2 other rooms our extended family were in. There was NO HEAT at all in the room I stayed in and there was a snowstorm that night. Needless to say, the room was freezing. Noone was downstairs at the manager's desk, so I had to spend the night under the blankets fully clothed with my coat on. The manager was rude when I complained the next morning and I have since been told that since I stayed the night, I would still be charged a reduced rate - no apologies!! If you go, consider yourself warned!

Just Awful - Top to Bottom
By JosephC, 8/24/05
The food was not good and the rooms were dirty. Service was poor. So many other great paces in Princeton.

Hurrah Hurrah Keep Up The Good Work
By Boudecca, 7/9/05
I have only kudos for The Peacock Inn. Both the hotel and restaurant are first rate. The hotel must constantly be in the process of renovations since on each trip we noticed painting or wallpapering in one room or another. The patio in the back yard is a wonderful place for a barbecue ... though not advertised I know for a fact that the chef will grill hot dogs and hamburgers on a sleepy summer afternoon.

Best Property in Princeton -- Home Away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/14/05
I have been staying at The Peacock Inn off and on for almost five years. I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite places. The staff always remembers me and greets me by name; frequently they ask about my family and dog, Paws. I cannot say enough about Donna and Daniel, two of the managers. Each of them goes out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Because I stay at the Inn at least six times a year, I watch the rooms as they are being upgraded --which by the way is a constant project as they upgrade rooms monthly on a rotating basis. Donna even asks for my opinion when she is changing paint or buying new wallpaper. I frequently eat at the bar where Chef Jason goes out of his way to prepare very special items as he researches upcoming menus. Rooms are comfortable and clean, some larger than others but each with a unique charm. Every time I make a request, it is handled with a smile. I like the fact that this hotel is within walking distance of everything Princeton has to offer but also a little off the beaten track. I love the Peacock Inn. I encourage everyone to try it. Ask for Donna when you make reservations as she frequently can give you an upgrade or a special rate.

Friendly staff, comfy rooms
By Boudecca, 4/30/05
The Peacock Inn is a charming property located within walking distance of the University. The staff is small and friendly. I like it because they remember who I am. During the winter, I checked in unexpectedly due to a snow storm. Staff had fireplaces roaring, complimentary wine and hors d'oeurvres, nice music. I stay there whenever I am in town.

Short cancellation window
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/05
Snow and flu cancelled the trip but only 36 hours before checkin (48 hours needed), so I had to pay $140 for nothing! I often stay there. Good hotel.

THE WORST HOTEL EVER, BAR NONE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/04
I recently stayed at The Peacock Inn and warn you that it is not at all what it promises in its web site. The "antiques" are cheesy, the beds are small and squishy, the rooms are tiny, and even if you are the only guests in the hotel, they have no guilt in putting you on the 3rd floor walk-up in the servant's quarters for $180 a night. The most amazing thing was that at 9:45 THERE WAS NO HOT WATER, even after running both taps for 10 minutes. Breakfast was not edible (burned tiny pieces of refrozen quiche and undiluted orange juice concentrate), the staff was beligerent and we still haven't been able to talk with the "Management". I would't choose to stay there if it cost $25 a night.
