Excellent value for the money

We had a delightful stay at the Ramsey, NJ, Howard Johnsons. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and our non-smoking room was clean and furnished with everything we needed: hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and built-in safe. There was a second door (glass sliding doors) at the back of the room, leading out to a small patio with table and chairs, and a view of the pool. No, the building isn't new, but it's clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, their on-site restaurant is closed for renovation, but there are plenty of eating establishments in the immediate vicinity. We would definitely stay there again.
