Decent Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
Considering the extreme prices of rooms in Manhattan during December, this hotel was a good alternative. They had a group cancel so I found an even lower rate through Hilton's website. (Although they did try to charge me the higher rate, but the front desk fixed it after I explained.)
The shuttle times did not fit my schedule, but it was an easy drive into the city. If you are willing to drive, search online for parking discounts. (I found a $10 for 10 hours weekend theater deal.)
Yes, the hotel is on an exit ramp, but many roads are divided where you have to go past your destination & then loop back. Just study a map before you go - the access will make sense & takes very little extra time.
The highlight for me was the pool, which even after being in the hot tub was still warm. The lowlight was the fact that only one elevator was working, but waits weren't too bad.
One reviewer commented that their room was small. The double I had was normal for most Hiltons, & large compared to the closet-like rooms found downtown.
