GREAT GOOD TIME
By Linda, 01/14/10
We are making our reservations for 2010. We can't wait to go back. We stayed in a refurbished cottage, it was so fresh and clean. The kids are stiill talking about Camp Naz and wear their t-shirts at least once a week. Their food in the main dining room is some of the best we have ever eaten. The staff treats us like old friends and can not do enough for us.

Would NEVER go back!
By Lisa, 09/18/09
The room was very small, with a very small television, but clean... The area of the beach you could swim in was the size of a swimming pool... We were there the weekend of a bikkini contest... (at a soposed family resort) That day was filled with teenagers running around drunk because the bartenders and waitresses did not card anyone....

YUP! Every Summer
By Lizz E, 06/09/09
I love the Naz...its so nice to stay at an old fashioned family run place instead of a cold corporate hotel. There every year for bike week and for Labor day. Cozy, clean, people remember us.

THE NASWA RESORT - FUN FOR EVERYONE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/08
I have been vacationing at the Naswa for many years. First with my parents and now with my kids. It is most certainly a family resort. It is family run and extremely family friendly. My kids enjoy all of the Camp Naz activities, and playing on the beach. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The accomodations are clean and comfortable. Most importantly the rates are reasonable. We go for a week and don't need to leave the property. I read through a previous post that said it wasn't family friendly - that people were making out in the water and the fireworks kept the kids up too late. I don't think that has anything to do with The Naswa. I know that the family that owns the resort has very high standards and would never let anything come between their guests and a good time. Obviously those vacationers did not give the place a chance. Too bad for them.

NOT FOR A PLACE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/08
Place is sold as family friendly - Complete opposite! - large drunk crowd blocked our car from moving in the parking lot - Our "reserved" parking spot for our cottage was taken - The first thing my kids saw in the water - two couples fully engaged in a make-out session - The beach is small (not digging sand) and has a 2 foot wall made of cement that drops into the water My 2 year old almost went head first in the water. - Beach bar is loud and tables extend half way down the beach. - the cottage on the internet looks great. NOT in person. It is run down and very small. - Like a previous writer in this review area - Tattoos and smokers everywhere - Noise from the main road is nuts - motorcycles and cars, along with the boats on the water will keep your children up. at 1030 my kids were still up. - Fireworks went off at about 11pm - there was no sense of privacy from the people walking by the cottage. The windows were chest high as you walk by - We decided to leave after 4 hours to find another place and one of the owners basically told me to go pound sand when I asked for my final payment back. I knew and expected that I would lose my deposit, but he told me he was keeping all my money. He rude through the entire discussion Great place for adults who want to drink, be loud and be close to the action in Weirs Beach - do not bring your kids.

Best Fun in NH
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/08
My husband & I have been going to the Lakes Region for the past 20 years, we always eat a couple of meals in the dining room at The Naswa Resort, the food and service is 5 star, the wine list fantastic and the atmosphere casual yet elegant, not what you would expect in central NH. We alway spend the weekend at the Beach Bar the frozen drinks are great and the staff has personality. Sundays have great entertainment and a table in the sun beside the lake what more could you ask for? We look forward to returning in 2008.

A perfect location!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/07
Found the Naswa through the Lakes Region Association web site and called for my family vacation. We were so pleased with the whole experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful - from the front desk staff to the beach staff, we felt welcomed. The two bedroom cottage that we stayed in overlooked the lake and had a great screened in porch. Also, full kitchen and all the comforts of home without losing that comfortable camp feel. They had balloon twisting and face painting for the kids and this was the first year for their childrens camp!!! We have already reserved for next year and can't wait!!! Give this a try - food was great, too.

WHAT HAPPENED UP THERE??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
OK, so I've been to this place before - granted it was 4 years ago - but what has happened up there? Did the beach shrink, or have they just crowded 10 more tables and chairs in? My God, I am 5 months pregnant, but I could barely squeeze by between the old chairs squashed into the tables at the slightly sleezy Beach Bar. PLUS, I asked for a virgin strawberry daqueri and was told that it would take longer to get to the table... Explain that to me please? Our waitress snapped gum, snapped at my father-in-law when he asked her to repeat the wine choices and was secretly text messaging behind the owners back. Our bill for 5 people (one was my mother-in-law who drank one club soda and my two virgin daqueris) was $123 for 2 rounds of drinks. Glad we didn't order any of the sad and sorry looking food that was brought to the tables closing in on all 3 sides around us. We went down the road to the Tamarack for a really good HUGE lobster roll instead. (And our dinner bill for the 5 of us was LESS than what we paid at the bar). We stayed at one of the "waterfront rooms" which was not awful, it was clean at least, but it was really NOISY, and for the price we paid (over $225), we could have stayed in downtown NY! A WARNING FROM OUR CLAN: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMWEHERE ELSE!!!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/06
Loved our little cabin on the lake with the beautiful view. The food was good and the people very friendly. Can't wait to go back in 2007 with my husband and have a great, fun and relaxing vacation and if peole don't think it is they don't know what fun is.

Yuck, Yuck, and Even Yuckier!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/06
We vacationed there this past weekend, and what an AWFUL experience! The food at the "NAZ Bar" was mediocre, cold, and expensive. And the Beach Bar was loud, obnoxious, and full of tatoos. Our room was outdated, tired, and cramped. We heard BOTH of our neighbors all night long... And we had our child with us... It took hours to get a supposedly "free to guests" boat to row on the crowded and polluted lake. NOT at all what we had envisioned, especially after having spent many summers as a child up in the lakes region. I thought the so-called "family friendly staff" were rather rude and curt, begging with their eyes for a big fat tip, and disappointed when we were placed at their table and we came from the hotel, not from one of the big "cigarette" boats taking up all the dock spaces. When we asked for a kids menu, we were told that we should just "order off the regular menu". Great, except that our daughter isn't big on salmon and filet mignon... All in all a major disappointment, and when one of the owners asked how our stay was and my wife retorted, "not as great as we had hoped", she replied back, "oh really, that's too bad", and walked away. Not a great memory to leave behind. We won't go back again!
