terrible place to have an event!!
By ,
If you are looking for a fun , layed back place to have a small function such as family reunion, small wedding, birthday party ext... DO NOT plan it here! The events coordinator here is useless! This person gives a great quote & once locked in the all the extra fees POP up! Not to mention, good luck trying to get in touch will the one & only coordinator after your deposit has been received! We where very disappointed to say the least at the lack of arrangements the coordinator actually followed through with for our event! The time & $ I spent doing the coordinator's job...let's just say next time I'll throw a back yard bbq & save my self a whole lot of stress! ...hey naswa, time for some new staff !

I GO BACK EVERY SUMMER!! sometimes twice!!!
By ,
the naswa resort is owned and operated by a family that grew up in the area. they know it so well and treat everyone that stays there like family. I experience this first hand every single time i attend! the rooms are always clean and if there is ever an issue it is fixed immediately! the drinks are awesome although the beach bar can get busy it is well worth it! always live music and everyone is always having a great time! the food is excellent ive never had a bad meal there!!!!!!!!! Victoria and the rest of the "crew" are there to help and always accomidate every need, including my mini dachshund puppy in there pet friendly cabin! :) i love this place so much it is even where i choose to spend my birthday! i highly recommend it to everyone i meet!

NASWA is a gem!
By ,
First of all, take a bad review by a disgruntled employee on here for what it is, a disgruntled employee. Notice majority of reviews are great -I'd agree with that. As far as the reviewer with 2 yr old, realize that 2 yr. olds can run into hazards anywhere. That's why we didn't do a lot of vacationing until our kids were a bit older. I wouldn't say the small cement wall they mentioned separating water from beach sand is a deterrent from the great qualities of NASWA. (it's like a small step to anyone over 4) Every review is relevant to what kind of places the reviewers usually stay at. We are a family with two kids, age 8 and 10. This place was perfect!! We have stayed in suites in 5 star hotels, and we have camped on Cape Cod. NASWA was exactly what I expected. It was a 75 yr. old family run place with the character of yesteryear, but modern amenities and cleanliness everywhere. Impeccable service. We met and spoke with all three sisters who currently run their familiy's resort. They are friendly, family oriented, and hard working. We were presented three coupons upon checking in, for restaurant, free kids' meals, and the gift shop across street. There are kayaks and paddle boats at no charge to guests, a roped off swimming area, free boat slip for guests of hotel, clean, quaint rooms. Rates are affordable. Beach was raked daily, we saw employees scrubbing out garbage cans daily. There is convenience of full service restaurant,(we had delicious breakfast with huge blueberry pancakes i couldn't finish!) as well as proximity to other great places to eat around the Lake. The NASWA outdoor beach bar is huge, and apparently a hot spot for boaters on weekends, with live entertainment. We stayed during week, so it was quiet and certainly not overcrowded. we could sit and have an adult drink, while watching our kids feet away fishing on the docks. Fantastic set up, with our lakeside room with balcony overlooking beach and docks. we could sip coffee while watching our kids play and fish in the morning. The beach bar also has heaters for when it's chilly (not while we were there!), flat screen TV's and a full food menu available. We had nothing but a great time at the NASWA. We met friends there, who vacation with their boat there 5 weeks every summer. The water sports and boating were the highlight of our trip. For boaters, I would say this is an ideal deal of a place!!

Always Awesome at the Naswa!
By ,
My husband and I have been visiting the Naswa for the past 25 years and just got back from spending the weekend. Every employee we met had a smile on their face and asked if we needed anything. The rooms were clean and the service impeccable. They promptly delivered our beer cold and were back to ask if we needed anything before we'd finished. We've watched the Naswa grow from a small beachbar to a full resort with all of the amenities you'd expect. Every time we visit we are amazed by the latest upgrade or the newest event. Where else can you pull up in a boat, sit down for a beer with friends and listen to a live band? With the rain on Saturday, we thought for sure we'd be bored. Instead, we watched as they pulled the winning names for a raffle (top prize was a $10K sea-doo) and an auction, all to benefit the NH Easter Seals. That morning they had the Easter Seals Poker Run which we missed, so we'll definitely be back next year (you stop at different places to pick up poker chips, then back to the Naswa for a chance at the winning Poker Hand). It's great to see what they've given back to their community! So, to the Naswa: We'll be back every summer for another 25 years of great food, great service and entertainment you can't get anywhere else!

NASWA, Best fun in the Lakes Region! DFCALI & DEB.
By ,
Have been going to the "Naz" (Naswa Resort) for over 15 years, this year have spent almost every weekend and a few weekdays there. I have had nothing but positive experiences all around, Cynthia, Karen, and Victoria have all been very friendly, helpful and great Hosts! The facilities have been great, parking, rooms, restaurant and many events, Live Bands, DJ at The Best Beach Bar in The Lakes Region and some new stuff such as a Sea Plane offering it's services as well as The Naswa Boat offering it's Services. Great place for the kids also, nice beach and some kids activities. If you do nothing else this summer, make sure you spend some time at The Naswa!

The Naswa IS the BEST
By ,
I have stayed at the Naswa for over 30 years and it IS the best place to stay on Paugus Bay. It is family run, super friendly staff, very clean and lots of fun. Tons of renovations have been done in the past 2 years and it is fantastic. They now offer specific events just for kids and the beach area has gotten larger. Rooms have been updated as well.

GREAT GOOD TIME
By ,
We are making our reservations for 2010. We can't wait to go back. We stayed in a refurbished cottage, it was so fresh and clean. The kids are stiill talking about Camp Naz and wear their t-shirts at least once a week. Their food in the main dining room is some of the best we have ever eaten. The staff treats us like old friends and can not do enough for us.

Would NEVER go back!
By ,
The room was very small, with a very small television, but clean... The area of the beach you could swim in was the size of a swimming pool... We were there the weekend of a bikkini contest... (at a soposed family resort) That day was filled with teenagers running around drunk because the bartenders and waitresses did not card anyone....

YUP! Every Summer
By ,
I love the Naz...its so nice to stay at an old fashioned family run place instead of a cold corporate hotel. There every year for bike week and for Labor day. Cozy, clean, people remember us.

THE NASWA RESORT - FUN FOR EVERYONE
By ,
I have been vacationing at the Naswa for many years. First with my parents and now with my kids. It is most certainly a family resort. It is family run and extremely family friendly. My kids enjoy all of the Camp Naz activities, and playing on the beach. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The accomodations are clean and comfortable. Most importantly the rates are reasonable. We go for a week and don't need to leave the property. I read through a previous post that said it wasn't family friendly - that people were making out in the water and the fireworks kept the kids up too late. I don't think that has anything to do with The Naswa. I know that the family that owns the resort has very high standards and would never let anything come between their guests and a good time. Obviously those vacationers did not give the place a chance. Too bad for them.
