Radisson Hotel Manchester Downtown, Manchester

We have stayed at the Radisson in Manchester several times on business and have always had a good experience. I accidentally left a piece of clothing in the room and only discovered it upon unpacking. So I called the hotel. They not only found my garment, but returned it to me at home in less than two days time. They always seem to go the extra mile. The service is always top notch and the people are very friendly. The rooms are very luxurious and spotless. Thank you!

We stayed at the Radisson. Because we went to a Rascal Flatts concert At the venison wireless arena across the street which was prefect. Even better my husband smokes and loved that we had a smoking room. Everything was great clean the beds were wonderful.. Room service the next morning breakfast in bed was the best (HAT'S OF TO THE CHEF'S).We can't wait for a weekend we can get away again just to hang out. My only complaint is the elevators are very very slow... Thanks for a great stay Jo-Ann & Ray

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Last Visit:December 2006I recently spent 3 nights here during a business trip. The location was great! It is right near the downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants...all within a few minutes walk. I would have taken advantage of that more if it had been a little warmer during my stay. ROOM: I was on the 9th floor near the elevator and vending machines (located on odd numbered floors). I had a king room with a Sleep Number bed. I was curious about this bed as I'd never slept on one before. After a few minutes of playing with the setting, I found a range that was comfortable for me and slept like a baby! Very comfortable. It's a little odd to sit on though, as it feels more like an air mattress when sitting. And, because of its location in front of the television, I sat there more than at the desk or in the chair. The room was spacious with plenty of room to move around. In addition to the bed and TV armoire, there was a desk and chair, plus a comfy chair and ottoman. From the window, I had a great view of the park across the street from the hotel, as well as the city beyond. The bathroom was also spacious. A coffee maker was available on the counter near the sink. There was a large tiled area at the back of the tub with plenty of room to put all my bath products. But if you forget yours, the products they provide are surprisingly good, with scents like lavendar, green tea, etc. There is free high-speed internet available and the wireless access worked great for me! DINING: There is a restaurant/bar downstairs as well as a cafe that serves breakfast. The service in the restaurant was great when I was there. Business was pretty slow, so I got as much or as little attention as I wanted. The food was really good and the waiter suggested some great wines. I used room service for breakfast and most dinners. For breakfast, you can place your oder the night before by putting a card out on your door, indicating what time you would like it delivered. For dinner, regardless of what time it was when I called to order, it was never more than 15-20 minutes before it arrived at my door. They provided all the extras I might have wanted as well without my having to ask (ketchup, salt, pepper, butter, jam, etc). Their fish and chips dinner was excellent! I'm not a big fried fish fan, but this was perfection. Very light and not greasy at all. Their curried chicken salad croissant was also fantastic. SERVICE: The employees at the front desk were always very courteous and helpful. Their shuttle can be scheduled on the half hours and was right on time for my return to the airport. They were also accomodating of a late checkout and stored my luggage for me afterwards while I perused the gift shop. The gift shop is a small room to the right of reception and has a lot of local products for sale: maple syrup, bath products, clothing, etc. They also have a small selection of travel-sized items and toiletries. There is a computer with printer available for guests to use near reception. They use printme.com for printing, so you could upload a document from your room and print it downstairs. This came in handy for online check-in for my flight and printing my boarding pass!

One earlier review mentioned the hotel looking a bit worn. It must have been remodeled after that person was there. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice, the beds extremely comfortable. The food was very good, and the rooms were very clean. The people at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. We would go back.

everything is brilliant, the rooms were lovely and the staff offered an outstanding level of service, me and the wife were extremely impressed, we will be going back next year it was an experience to remember

Although the room, bed & meals were good to great, we came for two nights and three days for a convention/relaxing time and found the pool and hot tub closed. not just closed for one day, but indefinately due to what we heard were roofing problems over the pool. this information could have been included on the web site to forwarn people with children who fully expected to use this particular facility. also, since we were there with about 100 other people, our people didn't see one refrigerator in their rooms, so that is something the management should change on their ads. They did offer a free pass to the YMCA which is about five blocks away, but no one wanted to walk outside in the freezing windy conditions, to use an unknown separate facility - totally inconvenient. Would we use this place again - yes. Did we enjoy our stay - yes, but it could have been better.

The rooms are clean and will taken care of. New beds are great. We stay two to three times a year. Service is ok. front desk ok. Meredith n.h.

I attended the Mayoral breakfast campaign which included breakfast. I couldn't believe the main dish (french toast) was so cold the butter wouldn't melt. Very disappointed.

Biggest problem was finding the free shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Hotel staff did not say where to meet the hotel van,I waited by the wrong exit for an hour and called then 2x and still wasn't told the correct information. The van driver was kind when I found him. My room was smoking instead of non smoking ( they blamed yahoo). they said I could not pay to upgrade to a non smoking suite- (though I overheard them offer this option to another guest later). Fortunately, they did send housekeeping to clean, and they helped make it better smelling. The restaurant is nice, but the service at breakfast was very slow. There are tons of restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are clean but a bit dated. This was recently a Holiday Inn that changed names, so more upgrades may be on the way. The pool and gift shop were great, the sportsbar was fun, and overall staff were very friendly. The location was good, I would consider staying here again.
