The Blue Lake Inn, South Lake Tahoe

I HAVE STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES AND LOVED IT AND THE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND ALSO THE CLEANING STAFF IS GREAT!! IT IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING AND ONLY A TAXI RIDE AWAY FROM SOME GOOD RESTAURANTS!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STAY IN LAKE TAHOE!!!!!!!! SINCERELY, STEVE M. KILEN OAKLAND,CA.

We checked in the day before Thanksgiving and the room heater did not work. Moved to a new room and the carpet was wet from a leaky toilet. The TV reception was horrible and they state that there is wireless internet connect - but it never worked. The staff was stressed out but friendly, they wanted to help but were overwhelmed. This is a no amenities stay close to stateline.

I brought my family here for a short vacation last July, 2007. The location is great as advertized, near the gondolas and near the lake. It is not far from the casinos, just a short walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were easy to deal with. When I had to make some changes with my length of stay, they gave me no problem. The breakfast is ok but it could be better. The rooms are clean and safe. Our room even has a refrigerator. They also have a pool which is great for kids. However, there is no internet connection in the room. I had to go to the front office.
