sam's town is the greatest 4 all attractions
By ,
when visiting las vegas make sure you take a leisurely stroll in the the park day, or night, in mystic falls park at sam's town. the sounds of a rolling waterfall compliments the soft chirping of birds in live trees reaching up towards the sky light ten stories above. suddenly, the serenity is interruped with the urgency of a wolf call howling from atop the water fall. its the beginning of sunset stampede, a free laser light & water show. at 2:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm & 10:00 pm daily. the mountain in the mystic falls indoor park comes alive as the sunset stampede chronicles the westeren pioneer experience with music, lights & animation, fountains shoot eight stories into the air & the waters dance in the lights to a symphonic score recorded especially for sam's town by the indianapolis phiharmonic orchestra. make sure you bring along your camcorder you wanna watch it over & over again once you get home. i was so happy that i recorded everything its as if we were there all over again in real time.

Favorite spot for me!
By ,
I have stayed at Sam's Town several times over the past few years. It is a great place. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The bathroom is especially spotless and "better than being home." The general feeling in the rooms is that someone got the room ready 'cause they knew you were coming and you are "special" to them. The western theme in the rooms is quite elegant. The staff at Sam's Town goes out of their way to be helpful, pleasant and they act like they want you to have a great time while you are there. One of the nice features that I have used many times is the complimentary shuttle service to different locations both downtown and on the strip. This saves their guests the expense of renting a car while staying there. The shuttle schedule is convenient for just about anything you want to do. Sam's Town has me "hooked" on their hospitality.

Great place..we'll be back
By ,
It was off the main drag which was away from all the congestion downtown. We were about 6 mi from downtown. Hotel was great with all the items you'd look for...friendly staff and the video poker was hot!! Plenty of black jack variety's also...$5.00 min tables can be found thru- out the weekend and late hours......We'll be back...large rooms and bathrooms..love it..

This place has it all!
By ,
I gotta tell ya... this is one of the best hotel/casinos in all of Las Vegas. My Cynthia and I live here in Las Vegas and about once every 3 weeks, or so... we stay at a different hotel/casino here in 'Vegas. It's a great way to "get away" without the airport/flying hassle. The Sam's Town property is great. The service is exceptional at every level... the hotel is well groomed and spotless clean throughout... the rooms are top quality... the restaurants very good, especially their buffet. And, the large atrium with its "Mystic Falls" waterfalls with like real animatronics animals, is terrific. The bar (Ram's Head Bar) is right in the middle of all this lush green foliage, which is real and there are several light & sound shows. When you visit the Ram's Head Bar... tell 'em Vince sent you. Plus, there's a 16-lane, state-of-the-art bowling alley and a large multi-plex movie theatre complex. And, what will you pay for all this... well, we stay during the week when the rates are best... and we have never paid more than $49.00 a night... several times $39.00 per night. And, more often than not... Cynthia comes away from the one-armed bandits with Mr. Boyd's money. Vince

I'll be baaaack!!!!!
By ,
There is nothing to dislike about Sam's Town.Every one of the employees I have had contact with have all been courteous, helpful and knowledgable. The restaurants have great food, the casino is very clean and the tournaments are fun. I love the laser light show. The newly redecorated rooms are beautiful.I will definitly be back to Sam's whenever I have the chance. The hustle and bustle of the strip and downtown is missing here and that is good.

A great deal around!
By ,
Although it is located off the Strip, the location is close enough by cab to all the hot spots. Plus they have a shuttle service that goes to the Stip and Freemont! The food is great as is the bar in the middle of the hotel. The nightly laser show was amazing. The slots are looser than those on the Stip and they have penny and nickel slots for us big spenders. The dealers are very friendly as are the locals you will meet at the tables.

okay, not terrific
By ,
i liked almost everything about sam's town. the only disappointing thing was the lack of cocktail service in the casinos. many gamers were remarking about the poor service and the rudeness of the cocktail waitresses.

Excellent Hotel
By ,
Me and my husband stayed at Sam's Town during our trip to Las Vegas and it was wonderful. The foyer is very pretty and is nice and cool because of the waterfall. The rooms were very clean and the food was delicious. Even though it's not on the street, you avoid all the noise and it's really only about 5 minutes away. The casino is a little bit smokey but it's still fun; especially will all the friendly employees. We can't wait to go back next year.

I love Sam's Town
By ,
We've stayed at Sam's Town three times. We like the value, the slots and the atmosphere. The buffet is one of the best in town. Yout don't need to stay on the strip to have a great time, especially if you rent a car, like we do.

This is 'our' place
By ,
The casino is big without being overwhelming. It seems so much more friendly and personable there. They have a free shuttle that takes you to the other casinos on the strip & downtown, so you don't even need a car!
