We Won't Be Back
By ,
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Sam's Town last week. We stayed there a few years ago and things have gone down hill. Our room was ok, not a very good view though (the roof of a building). Most personnell were courteous, 1 or 2 did not smile at all. In one of the elevators located across from McDonalds a large luggage cart that was very much overloaded with bowling balls, tipped over on my husband and I when the young lady in charge of it tried to push it off of the elevator. My husband received 2 cuts on his arm and a bump on the head. I was ok just some sore muscles from trying to help her stop the rack from falling against us, but we couldn't. What a tramatic experience. You would think someone would have offered us a meal or something, well they did'nt. I asked if we could possibly have a dinner buffet for our experience. They finally got permission to give us a meal. No one even called to inquire how we were feeling. A security guard should be stationed at the doors across from McDonalds leading to the elevators because too many seedy, questionable people try to sneak through to the elevators. My husband stopped 2 characters from getting to the elevators after asking them to show him their door card . They did not have one and he would not let them in. Guests should not have to police this area. I did not like riding these elevators, but how else were we to get to our room. I might add the buffet leaves a lot to be desired, food too cold , vegetables not cooked enough and not tasty at all. This was not a good trip. The laser light show was great.

We will not be back, ever
By ,
Rude, Rude, Rude in so many ways. I met some of the saddest employees I have seen in a long time..obviously very unhappy with their jobs, the Nevada economy, lousy employer. They take it out on the customers too often. Horrible employee in the buffet named 'Leoni" who should be fired on the spot! Nasty, rude and the other employees told me of her bad temper...I showed her mine. Supervisor was half ass interested in the whole matter. UNFRIENDLY BConnected people..will not even make eye contact while mumbling the info you need. So so A/C in our room, not good when it is in the mid 100's in July. For our money we will go back to on of the fine casino/hotels on the strip next time.

Shuttle from airport....big problem!!
By ,
Rooms were very nice . Looked to me like a major refurbishing with all new bathroom fixtures and wall coverings. Very quiet. Laser and light show was fantastic! Staff were very friendly and helpful. VERY reasonable price. Not the easiest place to get to from airport. I could not get a shuttle bus (even though when I phoned in advance from Canada they assured me a shuttle would be available.) To top it off, they could not guarantee they would return me to the airport on time. Ended up taking a cab both ways....very expensive. Just to clarify, Sams Town does not offer shuttle service to or from airport. The company that screwed up royally was "Showtime." Warning, don't rely on these morons to get you to your hotel.

Sam's Town has always treated us great.
By ,
My husband John and I fly 5 1/2 hrs. from Pa every year to Vegas because of Sam's Town Hotel. Sam's has always offered us so much fun and entertainment that we have sometimes never left the hotel during our week + stay. The staff has always been professional and helpful. My husband uses their elec. scooter . This allows him the freedom to explore everywhere, In fact when we rent a vehicle the bell captain will happily put the scooter in our vehicle so we can go explore other places. We love the interior rooms to stay in so we can look out over the beautiful park. We have stayed at other hotels over the years. Hooters as an example has become awful. We stayed their for a reunion some years ago when it was called San Remos. We loved the charm of a small hotel. But when we came back and it was Hooters. It was loud the room was so bad. The help was nasty. We lasted one night of our 8 night stay only because we were tired and it was late. The next day we called Sam;s Town and they had a room available and couldn't have been any nicer. The difference in these two hotels is like day and night. At Sam's you can relax and enjoy many different things. We are so looking forward to our trip next month to Sam's. We are middle aged people but aren't ready to stop living. I expect to receive the same great service this June as we have in all the prior years.

NEVER AGAIN
By ,
TO ANYONE IN CHARGE My name is *********** and my spouse and I stayed there over my birthday June 24th we were actually there for 5 or 6 nights but any how. It started great and I have always loved your Hotel and Casino. Even when we are not in town long enough to stay we always play there. Let me just say that this last experience was so awful that we will never be going back. Our a/c went out 4 days in a row, my husband was hit in the head by the a/c return vent after the idiot who supposedly fixed it left without tightening the thing and when Randy (my spouse) walked into the hallway towards the bathroom the stupid thing swung down and hit him in the head. Now my husband is way to nice because if that would have happened to me I would own you people especially since I am 7 months pregnant. He had a huge red cut along the top of his head. Randy didn't want to be a bother so the only person he mentioned it to was the lady when we were leaving so she could make sure it didn't happen to anyone else. Also on the last night we were staying there we got locked out of our room because the stupid people you have working the front desk double held my credit card so then when they went to put my movies on it it would not accept it. So Even though they fucked up, we ended up spending all of our cash on the room and everything. Thank god my credit card people took the hold off the next day. Unfortunately this was the same night we were suppose to go to the Hard Rock for a Slightly Stoopid Concert and of course the hour long lock out and getting things figured out totally made us late and we had not even eaten before we had to go, as I mentioned I am 7 months pregnant. AND by the way after all of the bullshit when we got back into our room, guess what wasn't working yet again??? THE A/C. Then the next day when we were checking out i noticed they had overcharged me .... They charged me for a fridge which i would not have cared if I had actually had one in the room. So we had to stay and make sure they fixed that. Not to mention we complained about are neighbors who were constantly yelling and banging on the doors. We will never stay here again, nor will our family or friends and I will make sure every site I can find that asks for reviews knows just how things go at your hotel and Casino, by the way the whole time we were there we also spent over $3000 in your Casino and it's nice to know how you treat people. Jennifer

Unbelievable deal, will be staying here again.
By ,
Our room was very clean and spacious and much nicer than I expected for the price. The staff was helpful and the overall environment was fun and friendly. We found a nice selection of restaurants on site. The pool was nice. I was travelling with a child and she enjoyed a walk through the indoor park and the water and laser light show. They also have a movie theater on site. I could have stayed for days and been well entertained without leaving. I look forward to going back when we can stay longer.

Right Wing NASCAR/Cowboy hangout
By ,
Fox News is on EVERY TV in the place. The little guy (manager) in the Sports Book is a real jerk. I made a horse bet, but the cashier made the bet for the wrong track. It was their fault, yet the manager treated me like garbage and made me feel like I should never come there again. Sheesh, it was only a $30 wager and he made it seem like I bet a few big ones. There is smoke everywhere, and most of the people are on iron lungs and in wheelchairs. The breakfast buffet is a complete joke, go buy a box of cereal, bout the same as what you get. The other meals are pretty good value though. The sports book is pretty knew and THE BEST this side of town. They don't take OVER/UNDERs though on many games though.

Quit going downhill....
By ,
my husband and I were there with our bowling league for the weekend... the first room we were assigned was not cleaned so we had to go all the way back to the front desk and get another room...they charge more money for the interior rooms (view of the downstairs indoors) though I am not sure it is justified... rooms are outdated and housekeeping skills are poor... there was dried shampoo or something on the bathroom counter that never got cleaned up... hair was on the sitting chairs in the room... bell service was very prompt, I have to give them that! :-) For our bowling meet and greet, they gave out tickets for alcohol drinks but provided no food/ snacks, I was disappointed....I am not sure we will be coming back to Sam's Town in the near future

Lousy service
By ,
Tight machines, asked for cocktail waiitress and was met with excuses about shift changes. Left after an hour. Stinks in there and the employees act more like they're trying to get through the shift rather than take care of the customers.
