River Palms Resort and Casino, Laughlin

Found that you get what you pay for. My stay here wasnt the best time I had. The slots are few and far between . They have two places in there to eat a snack bar that was ok the buffet oh boy it was horrible . Every other place offers alot more spend a little more and go to another hotel, The tropicana has a excellant buffet thats a hotel worth checking out would not stay here again

We checked in on may 24th with our small dog and were given a room that had "bugs" on the bathroom floor and ON THE BED. we went down to the front desk and was helped by a very nice young lady. We were given a 2nd room, that was some what cleaner...somewhat....it had been chewed up by a dog by the door. we were told a $ 100.00 deposit was needed for our pup. I went down and wanted it noted about the carpet,so we wouldn't be billed. The "on duty" manager was somewhat .helpful..somewhat. We have stayed here several times before..BUT NO MORE. What happen to your service ?

room was better than some other places we've stayed at and paid much more for. hotel staff was great - bell staff even offered hugs! slots were good - not as tight as the other casinos. have dennys there 24/7 so don't have to worry about late nite munchies. only problem we had was getting a room facing the giant cooling towers - very noisy. nice big fluffy towels and housekeeping staff very nice. could use a few more channels on the tv. do not spend every waking hour out of the room. and the wifi - why is it at resort hotels it costs so much? usually it's free, but some charge $4.99. seems a bit high. but all in all for $16 a night you can't beat it, and if ya don't like it, don't do it. we'll be back!

Restaurants n prices were worth every penny EVERY PENNY!! Piped in music was awesome brought many memories very up beat clean casino and hotel fresh air/ no smoke great service from bellhops Spencer n Michael Clean clean rooms Housekeeping acted quickly to ck AC ,bring handicapped chair and extra pillows The Lodge , Dennny's and buffet service, food n price for on the spot grp of 12 or more numerous times ," EXCEPTIONAL" Paul our waiter in the lodge u r outstanding. Your manner and your service is **** The way u gave our 4 preteens their own booth and gave them dignity w humor made them feel as important guests too Our family had 5 rms 17 people in total Overall we all liked this hotel n casino soo much we all lost our club cards but gambled away anyway all 4 nights!!!. We were not unhappy w wins n losses .Drink hostesses come around fairly often : ) Plenty of 1 cent to $- $$$$$ machine plays We were winners just by choosing and spending 4 days/nites here Don't believe what u read on bad reviews I was leary too now I know it was all untruthful We will all return No like- limited variety of machine games/ no handicapped access into pool,left my sandals in rm 1922 called n were not in lost n found :( did appreciate call back from the hotel But where/who took my sandals?? :(

Myself, husband, and 4 friends check into River Palms around 9:30-10:00Pm on Friday August 12. We go to our rooms put our bags down and prepare to go out to dinner and gamble. We leave our room about 10:30ish. Go to dinner and gamble for a little bit, come back to our room at approx 2am. I go to wash my face and my friend gets in the shower, after washing my face I go to grab my purse to check my cell phone. Hmm cant find it?? I know I left it in our room, I searched the room and realize my friends purse is MIA also. She gets out of the shower and I tell her I cant find my purse and hers seems to be gone too. She looks and sure enough both purses and my make up bag(that looks like a purse) are gone! After talking to security we go back to our room and my husband says well the blinds are open so he goes to window and if you push it opens right up! ALL the way! The metal bar was not in the window and the locks on the window did not work. Cameras, cell phones, earrings, Wallets!, car keys, everything GONE!. The managers or anyone in charge never even care to see what they can do or how they can help being we have no money or credit cards and are out of state on what was suppose to be a vacation. A police report was filed and I had to throw a fit in order to speak with a manager on Sunday when we were leaving. We had called multiple people that were suppose to be in charge at this hotel on saturday and no returned calls nothing! This hotel as far as now seems in to be incompitent. Leaving windows on the bottom floor with bogus locks and maids not making sure that there metal sticks are in windows... which is leaving there paying guests at risk. And when something happends that is there our fault they dont want to have anything to do with it, giving customers the run around. We would have had to same security popping a tent on the side of the river as we did recieve at this hotel. I would pass on this hotel. And frankly Laughlin the officer who was dealing with this was also extremely rude to us as if its our fault the hotel is not properly secured, GOODLUCK if staying here hopefully others will get the hospitality that myself and my friends did not! I know not everyone has something like this happen to them but just know if you were to have an issue.... there is no one there to back you up or offer any help or even apologize for the stress and ruined vacation someone on there staff has caused. Also beware while traveling anywhere in Nevada.. the hotel risk managment has informed me they do not have to reimburse us a cent for all of belongings that were stolen thanks to Nevada's amazing laws! INKEEPER STATUE NRS 651.010 Even though it is there own issue that they did not have a properly locking window and left there customers in harms way. Be careful this is very unsafe!

This hotel should be a low cost hotel only. They should not call themselves a casino, very limited slots.... Did not see anyone win for 2 days...This casino wasn't alone, we played all over Laughlin and saw NO WINNERS at any slots... If you are thinking of going to Laughlin for slots, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME....

This hotel seems to have a bad habit of charging your credit card twice, Don't stay here.

We booked the room with hotels.com for $16 a night. Could not believe the wonderful room. Great bed - great towels. The casino is very limited since they are under construction. How can you go wrong for $16 a night.

THEY CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD MORE THAN THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE BILL THEN THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ALL OF THE OVER CHARGES EVEN THOUGH WHEN I CHECKED OUT I PAID CASH

me my sister her friend and 2 14 year old kids went to check in that was ok frontdesk agent did not tell us any thing about our rates or nothing about to hotel because we dont know much about hotel we booked reservation thru travel .com there rates did not match so we went to the buffet and kids somtimes talk loud and take some food out with them so later after about 20 minutes there I see security go up to my sister and her kids along with 2 other security poeple and started confronting them so I walk up to the table and said can we help you? then he dicides to tell us to leave as we were going upstairs the securtiy yeld out what is you room number I told him I am not going to tell you I complained to front desk on how this matter was taken I was really up set and felt treated very poorly we just check out with hours of checking and we spent a really nice 3 more days at harrars next resort over this hotel that we know have is more much better than river palms hotel thats place is a dump Harrars is the resort we will stay at everyear love this hotel it seems its a real friendy hotel nice rooms nice beach next to river 2 pools big arcade for kids we all love so do the kids yeah for Harrars
