Not as great as others

I stayed here for a three week extended stay in one of the suites while waiting for my house to be ready for move-in.
If you just need a place to shower and sleep between business meetings or something, this is fine. It's located nicely right off the main thorough fares through town.
The "heated" pool was freezing, and the jacuzzi, so prominently advertised, was green with slime, apparently out of service quite some time.
We had reserved a suite, but they put us in an upstairs suite, although I had two children, after a day or two the managers came knocking on the door because the downstairs neighbor, who I was told was a long-term resident who always complains about the noise upstairs, was complaining about the how heavy the children and I stepped. I requested a downstairs room for the remainder of my stay and a day or two later they granted it.
The cleanliness of the second room I found deplorable. First, in order to get fresh sheets and towels, you must leave your soiled ones outside your door or go to the front office and exchange them for new ones. We were graciously granted one bath towel, a hand towel and wash cloth per person.
When I inquired about housekeeping services, it was explained that the only housekeepers were the little old father and mother of the lady who ran the front desk, and they only cleaned check-outs. The daughter spoke the best english and it was difficult communicating with her as it was.
I requested cleaning rags and bought my own chemicals from a nearby store and cleaned the room, walls and all myself. The rags were filthy by the time I was finished.
Furthermore, just days after we gratefully moved into our new home, I'd heard there was a huge drug bust, though I don't recall seeing anything untoward during our stay. Too, managers cannot control the goings on of people who stay there, but all in all, my out-of-town visitors are told specifically that this is one hotel to NOT reserve a room at.
