The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa, Las Vegas

Not a good experience. The rugs are filthy dirty. No early rooming. And if you checked in after the 4pm set check in time, you still do not get a decent room, they say you need to wait a little longer to get a better room. they did not clean the room either day, nor even call to see if we wanted it cleaned because they missed it. Not one person there seemed to be helpful, it was always that they did not have that service. I slipped and fell outside the casino door, nothing major, but my blouse was ruined and I got a small cut on my knee. They offered nothing!!!! i I just wanted my blouse cleaned before it was stained and they didn't try and help with that. The room we got was clean, albeit it was the handicapped room because we did not want to wait until 5pm or longer for a better choice. The concierge DID NOT KNOW what he was doing. He had no answers to the questions we had for shows. He was nice, but lacked the knowledge for that job. The baggage guy, HE WAS SO NICE, he was the ONLY one that even seemed like he wanted to help and went out of his way to do so. We tried to check out hotel bill through the TV 4 times, that never worked. The internet service was hit or miss!!!!! This place did not come close to 4stars... MY RATING 1 STAR (for the baggage handler). OVERALL, A BAD TIME HERE. I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO BOOK HERE. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO!!!

This is a refurbished 80's era hotel... with tiny rooms and a 25' box TV? The bed was too hard, the walls paper-thin. They just gutted the old Maxim hotel and put in some new carpet and called it a Westin... and the gambling was terrible if you play table games.. I had to walk to Ballys to gamble.

This was my first time in Vegas so when I booked through Priceline and I got The Westin I was pretty excited, The Westin is a pretty nice hotel to stay in. I think if you have been to Vegas a couple of times then this place would be a nice change just to relax and hang out. Not good for a first time visitor. I was expecting all this grandeur and awesome place and it was just average. I was a bit disappointed when we walked in to the room but it was nice and clean, the bed was comfy, and the view wasn't bad. It just seems a little out dated. We had no problems with check in. The only thing I really didn't like was that I had already paid my room and they took a $50 deposit. I don't think I would stay at this particular Westin again. In doing a little more research I could have gotten a room at Paris for the same amount I paid here. The nice thing about this place is that its off the strip so it's not super crowded, it has more of a laid back feel. Bed is awesome, double head shower, I requested a robe and they brought it to me right away, and there is a starbucks, always a plus!

Westin are a great hotel with the famous heavenly bed, etc. This is my first time stayin at this particular westin Casuarina las vegas hotel and was a pleasant one until we checked out. The have a hidden fees of $15 for your stay. When I ask what are they for, guess what, they said those fees are for the free bottles waters in the room, fax usage, pool usage, steam room usage and etc. Normally these things are all included in the room at ANY hotel. They did not tell you about the charges during check in and very happy to tell you is mandatory and legal way to charge customers. I wrote to the hotel and corporate office but the respond we got, its that we booked through 3rd party which included expedia, priceline and etc. So beware of all this charges and I will DEFIANTELY AVOID THIS HOTEL.

Checked into this hotel with a group of about 60 people. Reserved a room at the same hotel for the following night. The AC at this hotel was out, with no expectation when it would be back on again. Within a few hours of checking in, we checked out, due to the heat. I was told that there would be no charges, and the reservation for the following day would be cancelled. When I arrived back home about 4 days later, there was a charge for the "cancelled" reservation. I contacted the management staff concerning this, and was told a refund would be to me within a week. It has been 10 days, and still no refund. Additionally, the manager indicated that she would send me a certificate for a 2 night stay, which has not arrived either. Be wary what the management staff says, and take it with a grain of salt. My suggestion, go find another hotel.

Had reservations a year ago and when arrived mix up in room type, although we confirmed the rooms a week prior for second confirmation. Two days without hot water, minimal water pressure, tub took 2 hours to drain after every shower, coffee pot broke, safe had to be reprogrammed, room temperature never got under 74 degrees with A/C set on 68 degrees at night, and waitresses in casino area were seen tasting customer's drinks three different times on one night. Don't wear white socks around your room because they will be black as the carpet is filthy. The beds are comfy, the spa relaxing, and the pool area very nice.

Room was smaller than I would have liked. The carpets needed a good cleaning in the rooms and in the hallways, 9th floor. There was very little water pressure the day we arrived and on day 5, we were left with no water at all until late in the day which was a real pain. After a workout and laying in the sun, having no water to shower before catching your fight was not great. Plus most disturbing was to have someone knock at your door to see when you were checking out. We wasted a good portion of the day waiting for the water to come back on. We received no apology. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again .

We love the location, one block from the strip but nowhere near the craziness....the rooms and in particular the heavenly beds are fabulous, the staff are very friendly and helpful and it's always clean and welcoming. The casino is small and not too noisy....we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vegas.

This hotel was a very nice hotel to stay at. The doormen and valet were very gracious and prompt. The rooms were smaller than expected, but nice furnishings, clean and well kept. The hotel was within walking distance of the strip and it was easy to manuever in and out of the parking area.
