Holiday Motel, Las Vegas

The carpet was stained, had a dirty towel, no ice machine, no internal lock mechanism in the door knob, no remote for the TV, and only about 7 or 8 local channels available,and the general condition of the place was just run down. Could have gotten a nice room at one of the nice casinos for what I paid for the room for my wife and me.

I used to always go to this place because of it's price. But last weekend I got turned away because my friend was a local. I told the clerk my friend is not the one staying I am. But the clerk was rude and did not even try to explain why when I asked. The attitude towards locals for these motels are horrible. They lost my business, I don't mind spending a bit more staying at a pricier hotel.

This little motel was a great stop for us on a budget. $50 a night was great for a strip motel, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Little far north from our shows at larger casinos, but ok. After biking in hot desert, outdoor pool was refreshing, parked the bike right outside the door. no need for breakfast as across from Dennys I think. no complaints, on a budget and don't mind walking? This worked.

This is the place to go or to sleep when you're in Vegas with friends just to make party and enjoy yourselves! It's cheap and u can't beat the location! I went there with a friend of mine and absolutely don't regret it! So go there and hve fun!

Old School Vegas and I love it! It's cheesy and campy and if you like Americana it's great. If you want a huge, glitzy place with a lot of people this isn't the place. It's not a chain casino with a huge staff, so don't expect that. But it's clean, you can see your car from your room and it's convenient to everything. It's not a family place and it's not a destination. But if you're in Vegas to party and you're never in the room anyway, this is perfect. You can stand outside your room and relax with a drink and nobody could care less. If you'd rather spend your money on a nice meal or BlackJack and you aren't trying to impress anyone this place is quant and retro fun.

I have been staying at the holiday about twice a year for about the past ten years. It's alwats been a decent place to stay and the location is great. We just stayed there from oct. 31 through Nov.3rd and the woman who works at night is the rudest bitch i've seen in a while. We arrived late on the 31st and i told her that we made reservations a month before' but she informed me that we arrived too late and the price wouldn't be the same as I was quoted. At the time I made reservations,I tried to pay with a credit card and the man working said that I could just pay when we arrived. The people who work there really don't seem to care if anyone stays there or not. I'm planning to go back to Vegas in about two weeks and will look for another place to stay. very bad clerk. stay away from this place. only pigs working at the front desk. if you don't believe me then try getting insulted yourself.

I would of liked the experience of staying at this Motel however they don't take credit cards to reserve a room. So unless we mail in a payment you can't reserve a room that pretty much limits staying at this establishment.

The checkin clerk was courteous but not friendly. Right after I checked in, he refused to accommodate the well-attired person behind me because he was a local. When I politely asked the clerk why the motel had that policy, he became aggrevated and talked about drug dealing and prostitution and that there hadn't been a single shoot-out since the motel adopted that policy. Um, yeah. I gave three stars for 'location' because of its proximity to the freeway, but my check-in experience didn't exactly make me feel secure about the neighbourhood. I gave one star for cleanliness because of the cockroaches. One cockroach is just one of those things that could happen at any hotel; three means there's a problem. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable, the door was difficult to open and the television looked like it had been found on the side of a road in 1983. To be fair, this motel was probably a bit cheaper than any of the gaudy big hotels nearby, but you get what you pay for. Maybe the free coffee made up for it for the other reviewers, but I don't drink coffee. Sorry.

We loved this motel. Unlike the BIG hotel casinos where you park 5 miles from your room, at the Holiday Motel, you can park right outside your door. It was clean. The people were friendly. And the pool was close and kept very clean. It was also a lot more affordable than most places in Vegas. I hope the Holiday Motel hangs around for a long time!
