7 reviews for Tahoe Inn, Kings Beach
Welcome to the Dump
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/09
If I hadn't already paid in advance, I would have walked out of this place. It's a Dump !!! There was an odor in the room, the ceiling is falling down, holes in the walls, the headboard was ripped off the wall, felt tip pin marks on the wall, bathroom faucet not attached to the sink, mold in the shower and on the ceiling above the shower. one spot in the floor felt like it would break through, no screens on the windows (they were on the ground behind the room), spiderwebs everywhere, a 13" TV with about 6 channels and the mattresses felt like they were 20 years old. It looks like a place you might rent by the hour. Yahoo should remove this place from the Yahoo Travel page !! If you don't believe me, check out the pictures I took :http://s191.photobucket.com/albums/z34/fasteddies42/Tahoe%20Inn/

Not Bad .I stayed one night . Good location.
By Bonehead, 04/06/09
I wanted a cheap place for the night . The "Red Room" in the Crystal Bay Casino had a free show featuring "The Chris Duarte Group". Saw previous , less than stellar reviews . For $24 , through the motel web site I got two queen beds . Room was large ,TV was small . But it was decent and clean . I had asked for non smoking , didn't detect any smelliness .The wall heater was small but put out good heat .Bathroom had a lot of drywall patching and the tiles were cracked in places but had been scrubbed . Pipe for shower head was flopping around some . Good water pressure and hot .The place is bare bones . They don't give any shampoo .But the beds were clean and comfortable. Coffee in the lobby in the morning . Ice machine in the hall. This place shows considerable millage but the location was great to walk to The Biltmore, Cal Neva ,or the Crystal Bay Casino . We had a rocking good time at the show and knocked out .I found this to be a good deal .Not the place to impress a hot babe or some business prospect but if your not spending a lot of time in the room , it was a good deal .

Great value for the money, average hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/08
This hotel is right at the border between CA and Nevada. For the price you pay, it offers a good value. We paid 10 bucks extra to get an upgrade to Superior Queen with Patio Room and surprisingly the room was clean and spacious. We did not stay long, so service(OK), food(not available) etc. did not matter to us. Staff is friendly and it is a secure place. You can stay with the family (we did) -CB www.homewarrantyreviews.com/

The carpets were filthy and there were cockroaches in the room. The cieling also had problems. The people at the front desk were rude and unhelpful.

Trashy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
This "Resort" is off the main highway, so it is noisy through the night. There is no air conditioning for the summer heat, and the wall heater produces heat even when the thermostat is at the lowest setting! We had to open the windows to let the cool night air in only to be driven mad by the noise from the road and the lights from the surrounding. There were no fans in the room, so it took a while to cool off. The "Resort" is situated between two run down motels with long term residents, so there are some creepy people roaming around. The bed sizes are a grade lower than advertised. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The shower was a little dirty. There was a sign in the kitchenette stating that there would be additional charges if it were not cleaned by checkout. I think this is the first time I've heard of people having to clean a hotel room! We didn't stay our second night even though it was already paid for! This place sucks!! Oh, I almost forgot, they had complementary paper towels with hotel advertisements printed on them - Oh Boy!!

never again

This place was very bad. The showers where the worst. The water kept changing from scolding hot water to freezing cold, thank god I didn't take my kids they would of ended up in the emergancy room with 3rd degree burns. You can hear people two rooms down from yours watching tv, people running up and down the halls, people up stairs jumping and dancing. There is not enough parking and I went during the off season. The spectacular pool there supost to have was green with pine needles and mud in it. I will never recomend this place to anyone. If your thinking about staying here, don't ....pay the few dollars more and stay at a better place.

Great for skiing midweek!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/06
No frills, but then, for the price, you can't expect them! The Tahoe Inn was clean, good maid service, courteous staff, great value midweek. Close to casinos and amenities.
