Redwood Lodge, Missoula

I'm actually writing this review from my room at the Redwood Lodge in Missoula. All I can say is that this is a hotel with a lot of value, but most of all, the staff here are super friendly, cheerful and caring. I've been here 4 days and have enjoyed my entire stay. My wife and I want to say thanks to the people who work here, you've been great!

Excellent hotel! Excellent hotel personel! Excellent value! If you're a business traveler, this is the only place to stop!

We stopped here for the first time in July, then again on the return trip in August. We found it to be very comfortable, quiet and convenient. The only complaint is that they have no vending machines for pop or snacks, but the very good Crossroads Truck Stop across the parking lot has everything you could want. The same gentleman checked us in on both visits, and we found him to be quite entertaining both times. The woman who checked us out was friendly and fast; it turned out she is the Manager. When we checked in on our return visit, the lobby was full of people, from families to a trucker to two biker couples returning from Sturgis. The gentleman working the counter had everyone laughing and engaging in conversation with each other, while he took the time to have a quick chat with each person registering about where they were from & where they were heading, always making sure to say something witty to end the night on a light note for us. He acknowledged the kids by offering them the choice of helping to clean rooms, helping to prepare breakfast, or helping with the Motel laundry. At the resteraunt next door, we ran into some folks that were in the lobby when we were checking in, and the first item of conversation was how friendly and hilarious the desk clerk was, and how welcoming the staff always seems to be (they are regulars at the Motel). My husband & I later confirmed that this gentleman is genuine, as we were walking over to buy some items at the Truck Stop store, and he was sitting on the bench outside the lobby, petting and talking to a cat, which we discovered belongs to the Motel. He did not pause his conversation with the cat as we walked by, but did ask us how we liked our room. When we went back, he was still rubbing the cat's head and laughing about giving the cat a massage. The Redwood Lodge has a charm of its own, but the staff is what makes it the ONLY Motel to visit when passing through Missoula. Be prepared for true customer service and a very likable staff, with extremely reasonable rates!

This is a great place for the family to visit! The breakfast is much better than we expected, the employees are friendly and even funny. The guy who works evenings had our kids believing they had to help him make the breakfast for us to be able to stay there! If you don't stay here on your trip, you're missing out! A fine deal and a wonderful place to take a break for a night or day!

We stayed at the Redwood Lodge when we were really exhausted from a day on the road. When we got up we expected the usual "continental breakfast". Imagine our surprise when we found a full breakfast buffet. A wonderful treat for folks who had been living on hotel breakfasts for a week. We plan to go back in the next few days and when we made our reservation we were told that if we left before breakfast starts (6:00 am) that we could expect to have something cooked up for us so we wouldn't go hungry on the road. How cool is that? We will definately return any time we need a place to stay anywhere near Missoula.

I first stayed here last month. Again this month, and will continue to make Redwood Lodge my Missoula stop. It was so handy to the freeway. Found the people so very friendly. Don't miss trying their wonderful cookies and coffee. The next morning I was so glad to find a nice hot (free)breakfast. Room was very clean and I was very comfortable.

This place has a nice hot breakfast. The 4B's diner acrossed the street is wonderful. They have the best strawberry cheesecake. The rooms here are clean, and everything works great. Although the ice machine took forever to get the ice.

I was very happy to see such nice rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. No extra charge for my dogs and no charge for a late check out. Loved the breakfast. Many foods to choose from. Was nice to see more than doughnuts and juice for breakfast. I will defently stay there agian.

I had a great stay at Redwood. Enjoyed the fact the staff was friendly. Room was clean. I will defently stay here agian when in Missoula. Or if I am within 50 miles of Redwood. I will be back girls.(Smile)!

I think that the girls and guys at Redwood work very hard and do a wonderful job. The breakfast is always hot and very good, it beats the food at 4B's.
