Budget Inn Express, Helena

I stayed in Budget Inn Helena,MT with my family. The stay was very uncomfortable as the washrooms were very dirty, chipped paint, squeeking doors, unfriendly heating system, no complimentary breakfast. The rates for this type of hotel stay was comparitively high enough. Although the reception staff was good and courteous. The biggest problem we noted during our stay was the broken main water supply line of the city and no body informed us, unless we complained to the reception about the bad odour and yellowish color of tap water. The didn't offer any credit for the bad supply of water.

This place wasn't fancy, but I was alone and didn't need fancy. The room was sparse but the bed was comfortable and, most important, I could walk around barefoot. There was a flat-screen TV (not flat-panel), so they've obviously done some updating. As a female traveling alone, I felt perfectly safe and especially liked being able to park right outside my room. Also liked being able to walk to the downtown restaurants and bakeries. The only thing wrong is the customer service -- the lady at check-in was very nice, which was kind of neutralized by the rude old man who was hanging around. I only stayed one night, so didn't interact with the housekeeping staff.

It is a very inexpensive motel so one can't expect 5 star service but for the price, the place is ok. One can go to the interstate and find motels for $100 but for that price you already have three nights at the Budget Inn.

if your looking for a friendly staff or good service this is not the place you want to stay at all , the cleaning staff was very rude was like we were putting out just be asking for a extra towel or a roll of tolet paper if you want cheap that it is but not a nice place to stay

This fits a travelers needs perfectly. I recommend staying here if you're in the Helena area. It was tidy, clean and comfortable. Air conditioned, TV, fridge, ets. Great economic value!!
