Do not stay here! Filthy!
By Cassandra, 10/1/10
e checked in and spent 20n moinutes trying to find the swimming pool and then went back to the room after being in the pool for 10 minutes due to the lack of employees. they told us they were closing it early. We went back to the room and went to take a shower..NO HOT WATER! and the bathroom was grungy. We took our cold showr and got ready for bed and discover the bedding was soiled with budily fluids and change was left in the bed. Obviously no one bothered to change it. We packed up and checked out and demanded a refund. We supposidly were not charged and we left. Only to find out they billed us anyway!!!! We are trying to get a refund now!

FILTHY
By Sherrie, 7/12/10
We had a cheap deal so I did not expect the Ritz but it SMELLED terrible and looked dirty. Filthy filthy place. There were not fridges and microwaves as promised and my room was missing a hair dryer. We asked to be moved to rooms with fridges and microwaves since we were there for 4 days and the front desk gal said she would take care of it and all day long kept telling me she was working on it and then tried to back out of it. I tossed a fit and they moved my parents to a better room. The "free" breakfast was disgusting and cold. The pool and spa were drained and out of order. I could go on but unless you are desperate to save a few pennies go somewhere else. The photos on the travel website is booked on are misleading.

You get what you pay for...plain and simple.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/09
We booked blindly through Travelocity's Secret Hotels. Once upon a time in Kalispell, this hotel was an amazing facility. Over 200 rooms; 2 pools; 3 jacuzzi's; racquet and tennis courts...sadly now, it is just an empty shadow of it's former self. The North wing is now given to weekly and monthly rentals; the north pool a stale foul half-full-of-water hazard for small children. The rest of the property is quite dated, mostly empty and kinda creepy in some ways. The front desk staff were polite, attentive and accomodating. All in all, for the $100 or so we paid for two nights accommodations, it was fair value. Nothing at all fancy, but shelter from the heat (our room AC was awesome although the hallways were 90 degrees plus!) and certainly centrally located.

An Amazing Stay!
By Katie, 9/20/08
Honestly I can't say I understand why some people give the reviews they do. I stayed at The Outlaw and very much enjoyed the week I was there! It was a great 5 days with the little community of Kalispell and I HIGHLY reccommend The Outlaw. All of the staff were incredibly outgoing and accommodating... my family greatly appreciated the warm and inviting family atmosphere, every employee that I happened to speak with just seemed generally pleasant and eager to assisst in any way they could. The price was very reasonable considering the immaculate quality of the rooms and guest areas. The pool and spa area was a great relaxer and the kids greatly enjoyed the pool. For all of those who can't seem to agree with my above statements, I'm sorry you weren't able to see the beauty in the old landmark that I did. The Outlaw is very accommodating as well as enjoyable and I hope others can also experience it as I did.

Impressed by staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/08
My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel a few weeks ago and were both very impressed with the staff. We've traveled quite a bit together and have never been welcomed by such friendly and helpful people. Maybe it comes with a smaller town and not being associated with a larger corporation, I don't know, but it was certainly a welcoming place. The girls at the front desk were more than happy to chat with us about the local goings-on. We actually went to an amazing play in Whitefish. We had a conversation with General Manager who explained some of the remodeling happening at the hotel. This place has a lot of potential. It's an amazing old building. I was very impressed with her passion for the hotel. This is the first large hotel I'd been to where I was greated with such warmth and hospitality.

Perfect, exactly what I needed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/08
Zero problems. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms clean, comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Location perfect. Shuttle picked us up from the airport. Again, no complaints. I had a very nice stay at the Outlaw Inn.

Lighten Up
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/08
I was surpised of some of the reviews on this website. I and my three kids just stayed at the Outlaw Inn and found it accomodating, the rate was $30 less than anywhere else in the valley and kids had a great time in the indoor swimming pool. The lobby kind of smelt like smoke but the cigar shop in the lobby had just moved out. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

An absolute DUMP!
By formerf, 2/27/07
The Outlaw was once the best hotel to visit-no more. WestCoast hotels has allowed this to sink into a cesspool. They no longer serve a continental breakfast, the pools are cold. The hot tubs didn't even work (all THREE of them) The fitness area isn't even worth a mention. The parking lot was filled with potholes and poorly lit. After a snow, the place wasn't even shoveled. Can we say "shovel"? How about some ice melt? It is, after all, MONTANA in winter---right? The rooms have the same decor they had twenty years ago-and they show their age. Rugs, chairs and furniture are worn and the carpet threadbare in spots-and ALL were dirty. Rooms have a horrid musty odor that defies description. Television set was a 1980's era knob-tuned deal with a cable convertor on top. Incidentally, neither of the aformentioned even worked. WC has the gall to charge the price they do? An employee stated that WC is seeking to seel the property-hopefully that's the case and the purchaser will bring in a wrecking ball. Do youself a favor, stay at the motel 6 or Econo-Lodge across the street. At least there you'll get what you pay for. WestCoast ought to be ashamed!
