Promising
By robin s, 7/27/11
This hotel is in the process of being revamped, True, the furnishing were worn and well used, we saw workers everywhere painting and landscaping. we had a huge two room suite with televisions in both rooms. we also had a mini refrig, and micro, each room had separate air cond. the management was very nice and offered little perks that were a nice susprise, they included packaged snacks, and toiletries, or other samples that you might need while traveling ( I do not know if they are offered all the time) Best of all it included a full hot breakfast ( buffet style ) with plenty of variety. I think that when they are through remodeling this can be a top rate hotel.

Serious issues
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/05
My main issues with the place were: • The yahoo.com site shows pictures of a restaurant, however, the restaurant has been closed for “years” according to the clerk at the front desk. • The hot tub is broken, the clerk at the front desk commented the hot tub has been broken for “a while” • The pictures of the pool are very misleading, the pool is around 7 x 5, it has to be the smallest “pool” I have ever seen at a motel. • When I called, I reserved a room for $99.00 a night through yahoo.com, for a king bed. When I showed up 2 weeks later, the rate was $130.00 an night with a $20.00 a night lodging tax. The place was recently remodeled; however it still has that “dive” appearance / odor. The motel worked as a “place to sleep”, however if you have stayed at other Travelodges, you will be sorely disappointed by this place.

Travelodge West Yellowstone
By DanaH, 6/29/04
This hotel appears to have been recently remodeled. The building is obviously older, but the bathroom, while small, had new tile and vinyl flooring. The carpet appeared new also. The room I stayed in was a King Deluxe which had a mini fridge and a coffee maker, iron and board, and a hair dryer. The room could have easily held a larger table, and they could have added a sofa had they wanted. The bed was comfortable, the black out shades worked well. When we first checked in there was a strong smell of ozium or some other strong air freshener, but it quickly dissipated. The continental breakfast was o.k., nothing special. The location is good, but the town is soo small, it is hard to have a bad location there. I strongly recommend this hotel for the budget minded traveler. I can also say that I booked well in advance, and my rate was considerably lower than the prevailing rates for that hotel upon my arrival. I have made many trips to west yellowstone and stayed in other chains and a couple of locally owned places, and this was as good as any of them.
