Travelodge West Yellowstone
This hotel appears to have been recently remodeled. The building is obviously older, but the bathroom, while small, had new tile and vinyl flooring. The carpet appeared new also. The room I stayed in was a King Deluxe which had a mini fridge and a coffee maker, iron and board, and a hair dryer. The room could have easily held a larger table, and they could have added a sofa had they wanted. The bed was comfortable, the black out shades worked well. When we first checked in there was a strong smell of ozium or some other strong air freshener, but it quickly dissipated. The continental breakfast was o.k., nothing special. The location is good, but the town is soo small, it is hard to have a bad location there. I strongly recommend this hotel for the budget minded traveler. I can also say that I booked well in advance, and my rate was considerably lower than the prevailing rates for that hotel upon my arrival. I have made many trips to west yellowstone and stayed in other chains and a couple of locally owned places, and this was as good as any of them.
