The worst hotel ever...
By ,
I would much rather stay at a Motel 6 instead of spending the money to stay here. Talk about a 'party' hotel and all kinds of drunk people partying all hours of the night. We have never had to call security so many times...we had hardly any sleep. One night we woke up to a drunk guy trying to help his drunk passed out friend off the hallway floor. He evidently drank too much and ended up urinating and puking all over the floor. The rooms are very outdated for the price, no fridge or microwave and the Wi-Fi costs. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the room above you not only flushing the toilet but actually going to the bathroom. Their parking lot is under construction so you have to park away form the facility and get charged for it. Poor customer service. I am appalled with their service and that they do not put their security to better use. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Big waste of money!!!!

Service GREATLY Improved!!!
By ,
I have stayed here several times for business and the rooms have always been clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is perfect and the restaurants and bars in the hotel are great too. The only problem is the last few times I have been there, the staff has not been the most helpful. Slow at meeting your requests, not always friendly. Now, about 2 years later, I was headed back to KC and I booked a room at the Marriott again because I had so much good experience in rooms, location, food, etc. I figured I would give the service department one more shot. And I'm so glad I did! The service was 1,000 times better than the last!! Not only the front desk or housekeeping, but throughout the Hotel! I will always stay here when I come to Kansas City!!

Won't go back
By ,
BEWARE. They claim to have problems at checkin with Bank of America credit cards-find another option. Later found out just a coverup and then all the additional charges you are charged for without being made aware. Parking even when you don't have a vehicle. Terrible customer service and no resolution. Won't stay here again.

Very upset and disappointed
By ,
We stayed here for 3 nights the first night was great and no problems. The 2nd night there was people in the hallway yelling but it didn't last long. The 3rd night was horrible. People were up running the hallways, yelling and partying until 4am. We called security several times in which they came up and spoke to the people. Made the threat if this continued they would be asked to leave, never happend. After so many calls the lady finally told me that it was the weekend and people like to party!! I replied by saying so the other guests have no rights to sleep and just have to tolerate the crap that was going on. She just said sorry. I will never ever stay at this hotel again. I got 2 hours sleep for my 5 hour drive home. I can't believe they let people act like that. I don't have a problem with people having a good time but they should be made to stay in their rooms and be quiet. Not running up and down the hall and yelling. No respect from the people partying or the staff.

There are other hotels here.
By ,
Likes: Good location, friendly staff and clean rooms with good amenities and a comfy bed. Dislikes: For this price it's outrageous that they charge for wi-fi. Friends stayign in another hotel a block away have equal amenities for a similar price and their wi-fi isn't $10/day. And, for this price, you'd think the connection would be fast and reliable. Not so. I value access, especially on a business trip. I'll go somewhere else next time.

Great end to a bad start weekend.
By ,
I has an issue with my car coming to KC. The Management and staff helped me find a tire store and even called the store to make sure they were open on a Saturday. I can't say enought good words other than on my next stay in KC, it will be at the Downtown Marriott.

Very disappointing
By ,
We stayed here during a weekend wedding. Our service was horrible. First of all, the hotel blocked off parking because they overbooked the hotel, so we were essentially trapped inside the place all weekend. Thankfully, we were within walking distance to the wedding (the location is excellent, I do have to say). We missed out on the Plaza, shopping, everything else KC has to offer! The place is pretty rundown for the price. The shower heads are at about five feet, so you get clean from your neck down. You can hear toilets flush from rooms upstairs. Hey, though, you get an iron and a hair dryer in the room . . . that's about the only perk. They didn't clean our room. When we returned to our room after the wedding, we requested clean towels and washcloths, but we were ignored and had to "steal" them off the housekeeping cart the next morning. Every little thing costs extra, which is a pain. Note that the pool is a lap pool, which really discouraged our young children as they couldn't swim. When I return to KC to visit my brother and his new wife, I would rather stay in a Holiday Inn Express or something along those lines. At least those places are clean and offer you a few extras.
