The bustling Clayton business district is also home to more than 80 Forbes and Fortune 500 businesses.Built in 1926 using the Tudor Revival style, the Seven Gables Inn was remarkably sophisticated for its time. Originally it contained 27 apartments, four offices and four storefronts.Today, its allure and uniqueness have been lovingly preserved and updated. Each of the 32 uniquely decorated rooms and suites blend Old World charm with modern luxury.In 1985, the Seven Gables building was listed on the National Registry of Historical Places and renovated in 1986 by the Balke group.
