20 reviews for Raudmont Inn, Sikeston
5 stars back in the day...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/06
I haven't been there in a long time, but about 20-25 years ago, this place RULED. The Easter buffet packed 'em in, the arcade games and pool tables were all new, the outdoor pool was hoppin' during the summer, the indoor pool during the winter, the lounge was a happening singles scene. But above all else, the place was busy. You had to book well in advance for the rodeo or Christmas. It really was one of Sikeston's two main "motor inns" of its time (the other was the old Holiday Inn at U.S. 62 & 61, but that's another fall-from-grace story). But by the late 80s/early 90s things went down hill. New management, lack of corporate leadership or oversight... I don't know, something happened. The food got terrible, the service became non-existent. One cool thing from this downfall period (in my eyes, at least) was that the video games were the same classics from the early 80s that I remember playing there as a small child. Now it's no longer the Ramada, but Raudmont. They don't even have a website! Um... ok... that says quite a bit.

Beware!! We will never go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
What a nightmare!! The first room we got was filthy, stunk, the bed sheets were dirty, just the whole room was sick!! My husband asked for a different room, hoping it would be better, what a laugh, it was the same. The whole hotel is a joke. Ceiling falling down, smells horrible. Bugs everywhere. In fact the next morning my husband had a major bug bite from our bed. Please do not stay at this hotel!! There is also a lot of uncertain people all around, you have to watch your car and belongings. Very Scary!!

Yuck
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/06
The room was dirty and smelled. They didn't have fitted sheets on the beds. My girlfriends and I went for a weekend of shopping and fun - the hotel was SCARY!!! We felt VERY unsafe. There is a reason this place is cheaper than the others. Drive on if you can!

Not Bad for the money.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/06
You get what you pay for. Good breakfast and average rooms, but they charge you for average rooms. I just stayed in a Pear Tree in Missouri and the staff there was much more indifferent that the ones at the Raudmont.

Oh my..next time I call ahead-Id rather be dead...

..than at the Raudmont. Honey, don't take your shoes off! Eeek! It is so, so dirty. Run dont walk. Find a rest area to park for the night....unless you actually want to sleep in dirt. Drive on if all the other hotels are sold out! I only hope no one breaks into my car during my sleep...I fear leaving my auto in the lightless back lot by my room. I had to park out front...too far to hear the siren go off in my truck....I can only cross my fingers. I read the other reviews...I am unsure where the nice rooms are!

Worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/05
It isn't the finest hotel, but well worth the money. I hate wasting money to spend a few hours in an overpriced hotel when I am on the road. The rooms are better than what you would expect. They are as nice as rooms costing almost twice as much in big name hotels. The breakfast was better than you would get at many restaurants - and it was FREE. This is my kind of hotel. I will be back.

Stay somewhere else.
By Tom, 11/09/05
The rooms were dirty and smelled of mildue. They didn't have fitted sheets on the beds. They would not give out enought towels, two to a room. The hot tub had a fowl smell to it. I can't stress how cheap motel this place has become, don't stay here, drive to cape if Sikeston is filled. The breakfest is good but the morning I went with the family to breakfest there were no clean tables, I asked a worker to clean one and was sassed, so I set my plate down and we left. The front desk was unsympathetic or our plight, luckily there is a McDonalds across the street.

Will Never Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/05
We have never received such service from a hotel. To check in we were greeted with a rude employee, when asked for more towels the same rude employee gave us 2 bath mats. The room was less than standard, it was dirty when we got there. We realize that we were in a crowded hotel, however, we as adults should not have been treated like we were.

good value for your money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/05
This hotel is a great value. Perfect for families and travelers on a budget. Room was cleaner than usual for this price range and full breakfast was great. Staff was helpful and friendly. Can't beat the location. Will stay here again when in the area.
