Millstone Lodge, Laurie

Drove by the old Millstone lodge the other weekend. Sadly, they have started to tear the place down. What once was a fun place to stay and party is no more. The building next to the pool is completly gone, with some of it's debris laying in the empty pool. They had the rest of the area blocked off, but you could see that destruction of the old lodge itself has started.

Millstone lodge itself was nice. the rooms in the hotel area was not very clean. if the place were updated and refurbished it would be a very nice place. The location is wonderful, a lovely pool area, and the lake is wonderful.

Millstone is one cove away from my fathers lake home. Like other people have writen it had gotten a bit run down. They have since torn down the old building and have made a beautiful new location. You sould try it, it is a totally different experience.

I have stayed at millstone every summer for the last 15 years. At one time the was the happening place. It has slowly gone down hill. Recently we have started staying somewhere else due to the fact the facilities are not clean, no water pressure and unless you are 5'4" the shower will only bath half of you. I would be glad to come back if they decided to update. I do like the fact that the rooms are seperated, but there needs to be a t.v. in each section.

we stay at millstone often and have always had excellent service and at a great price! the pool is great and we can bring along our dog when we stay here!!
