Downtown Oxford Inn And Suites, Oxford

I actually have enjoyed my stay, but when I encountered a problem with obtaining a 1.50 bottle of water from a machine, the employee left something to be desired. There is nothing wrong with the rooms, I know it is an older hotel and did not expect a mini-fridge, but would have liked one. When I checked in, was greeted with great enthusiam, tonight, I think the girl wanted to be somewhere else. Invest in your employees! They will return what you give....

Husband and I stayed here in a two-room suite on a business trip. Unlike some other guests, we found our suite at the Oxford Inn very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The free continental breakfast was pretty much standard and not one of the more extensive ones. I did not find the dining room particularly pleasant. There is a strange, supposedly high-speed Internet connection in the rooms that requires you to attach your computer to a desktop box with the short cable provided. Another guest and I were unable to get it to work. I discovered that I could easily connect to a nearby wireless system that may have been the inn's wireless available in the lobby. The location is great with easy access to wonderful walks around downtown Oxford. We would definitely stay here again.

Room heating system did not work requested several times for repair service and it wasn't addressed. The room was not cleaned or items replaced daily. Parking was a joke. bring your walking shoes you will need them.

I visited Oxford this past weekend for the first time and was delighted that the Downtown Inn and Suites was so close to the Historic Square. It is literally just steps away from shops and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and looked like they had been updated recently. I stayed in a Queen Suite and was very pleased with the roominess and cleanliness of my room. I would definitely stay at the Inn again on my next visit.

Recently stayed here. It's not Best Western anymore. The room had been "cleaned at", but was not clean. Carpet needed a good cleaning as did the bath area. Hair was all in one bed: I slept in the other. Checked out the next day. On the plus side, it's got a nice restaurant in the building, but rather expensive, and they DO serve a great Continental breakfast. Maybe I caught it at a bad time, it was during 'move-in week' at Ole Miss. Clerks were nice on check-in. Trouble making international calls. It is convenient to downtown and the school. Next time I'll try one of the motels west of campus.

I had a fantastic time. The location is excellent. It shares all of the charm that the town holds. Cant wait to go back. It made the visit comfortable and my family enjoyed it.
