Brainerd Hotel and Convention Center, Brainerd

I loved the fact that the rooms where connected to the parking place..with a private in and out because it is hard for me to walk, and my husband could take me by car around the building for breakfast. We feel that the price was fair for the rooms. This was a very good place for a family to rest on a long trip resonable. We just moved to brainerd, from Aitkin and need a room for the nite.

I went there with my family in the summer and we wanteed to go to the pool. it was filthy! rthe service was terible. a lady that claimed to be the manager was the battyiest lady ive ever come in counter with. she was rude, and foul mouthed. she also was very rude to her staff. she spoke to them as if they were children of hers it was the most horrible place i have stayed... i even stayed in a hotel called the flicker tail in ND on a trip!! Also im from new york, strong family form Italy what drew me to the red roof in this location was the italian resturant that they had conected to the hotel... HORRIBLE! undercookjed vegies on top of over cooked pasta, with over load of olive oil for sauce!! the bread was great tho... because they didnt make it.. i said give it to me uncooked I dont want that cook touchinkg anything of mine... never again!

Reasonable rates, great food in retaurant, clean, a great place to stay on a budget! The pool and workout area is clean and good for family! This is a great place to stay on Washington Ave near highway! I would recommend Brainerd Hotel to everyone, they have a much better place than previous owners, dont let the old comments scare you off! The owners also contribute to the local Brainerd community in many ways!

i booked a room for 4 adults and a pet, iwas given a price with aarp' when i arrived they told me they didnt have a room for a pet. after much aggressiveness they gave me a room and said they would just clean good when i left. maybe they should have cleaned before i got there. when i checked out they charged me more they said the price i was told was for 2 adults. i sent email telling of my dissappointment and never heard anything. needless to say i wont be calling there to stay next time i go to see my daughter and family in baxter

In March I reserved 4 rooms for my bowling team under my credit card, which I do every year and when we check in everyone gives their own info and credit cards. Everything was ok except for one thing, they had the name of 1 customer on their paperwork, but my address and such. They said no big deal, it would be ok. The next morning when checking out everyone checked out fine except the customers that the paper work was wrong with my address and such. They had no record of them staying there and that there room was vacant. The lady said well I don't know what to tell you and not too worry about it. We double checked to make sure it still wasn't under my name and they said no....I was in the room I was suppose to be in and charged for that room. Well 2 weeks go by and I check my credit card statments to find I was charge for both rooms and they lost the information on the other couple. Someone needs to get their act together and be more careful....now their info is out there somewheres.

This place is absolutely awful. My room was filthy and wreaked of stale cigarette smoke. When walking through the hallway I overheard housekeeping talking about how unhappy they were because the "owner" told them to use water and water only because he thinks bleach is too expensive to buy. So... I felt far from clean knowing they use the same unsanitized rags to clean everything. I was also swimming in the pool with my family when another child in the pool had passed stool. The "owner" was alerted, scooped it out, and told everyone else that it was ok to swim again... Thats disgusting! I cant even imagine how unsanitary that pool water must be. He didnt drain or clean it, just left it. The "owner" didnt do much else but walk around in the hallways drinking beer... very unprofessional if you ask me, and more than likely illegal. I would never ever stay in this place and suggest you don't either...
