Don't waste your time or money at this hotel.
By valentined79, 3/12/12
My family and I made reservations, and arrived twenty min. prior to check in where we were greeted with" I'm sorry you are too early to check in, and by the way we have no rooms available for you.' I had reserved two rooms. One king and the other two double beds adjoing with a fridge. needless to say this did not happen. The children were looking forward to swim, but after five minutes of the pool at freezing temp, they as well as I were very disapointed. No towels were available, except bath mats. Our room phone did not work, and nor did the ice machine. I would not ever recommend subjecting anyone to this treatment or lack of from this hotel.

do not ruin your day going there
By justme, 8/22/11
Went to this joint, stood in line for 2.5 hours to check in, with only 12 people ahead of us. staff did not know which rooms were clean, or which rooms were already booked. There were only 2 people at the front desk. Manager came in and started looking for clean and empty rooms. Finally got my room, but no towels, was the same for other guests. Told th general manager about no towels, he told would take care of it. Two hours later I had to hunt him down and immediately demand the towels, other patrons standing there with me. We got some free drinks, but the other customers were irate. I was awakened at 330 am with the Salsa party still going on in and around the lobby. The staff obviously has no concern the other patrons' quality of sleep. I who am a world traveler have never seen anything like this in any country and have absolutely nothing good to say about this establishment. The people who own and run this disaster could mess up a nights stay at the best motel in the world. I would like to thank the owners and the motel staff here for ruining our 20th anniversary overnight stay. I would also like to thank them for making us miss our dinner reservations as well. Did I mention the folks that came from northern ontario to see a tigers game and missed that? Do not stay here, they are understaffed and and it is you the customer that pays the price. The public washroom was a disaster when I first got there and was in the same condition the next morning, no staff to clean it.

Will never go back
By Heather Johnson, 4/19/11
First class? I DON'T THINK SO! That is a joke within itself. Me and my husband chose this hotel for our anniversary but it was more like a local motel. We had a king suite but wanted a balcony because we are smokers so in order to have one we had to settle for a double suite. The only nice thing about the room were the beds. The carpet was stained and the curtains were falling and let's not forget about all the cigarette butts already on the balcony. The pool and the fitness room were the best part of the hotel. I ended up going to breakfast alone, my husband slept in and I had a rude verbal encounter with a rude ass guest and upon checking out when I informed the desk clerk of my encounter I informed him we would never be back, all he had to say was have a nice da!

very rude staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/10
after checking in i left my room to use the vending machine. when i retunned to my room the key would not work. i went to the front desk for assistance 3 times. The front desk person told me i must not be using the key properly and came to the room to assist. The key did not work so she tried her pass key which also did not work. At this point she accused me of tampering with the lock. she was very rude and unprofessional.(marie). At this point i told her to send someone to repair the lock in the morning. I would never recommend anyone put up with such rude behavior as i received. Do not stay at this hotel!

Good place to rest your head
By Josh, 6/6/06
The staff is very courteous and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable though feel a bit old. The long, curved layout of the hotel is not ideal, but you can generally find parking near a door close to your room. Hotel's restaurant isn't fabulous, but there's an upscale steak house attached as well and several nearby restaurants. Exercise room could use a little updating -- the equipment is rather dated. Very comfortable beds and location is right off the interstate. Free wireless internet is a nice perk that not all Hilton hotels offer.

Nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/05
Staff was great, they were very helpful in assisting my requests. The only main problem is that the hotel is about an hour from the airport, seems to take for ever to get to.

Awful, Never Stay There Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/05
This hotel was very dirty, couldn't get extra towels, just overall bad. One of the staff (Nicole something or other) was one of the rudest inconsiderate person! When a staff member is so disagreeable, it makes the whole trip miserable. I will never stay at a Hilton Hotel again.

Always a Class Act
By James, 9/26/05
I travel to Detroit Metro several times a year. Troy Hilton provides a clean comfortable room with all the extras you expect from Hilton. The highway access is a safe and non-stressfull travel. I highly recommend this Hotel, they know how to treat the business traveler right.
