NEVER again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/11
All hotels were filled in the area with it being parents' weekend and a home football game, except this one. Now we know why. Our room was so smelly when we walked in that it literally hurt our lungs to breathe. Smelled like they had dumped an entire bottle of carpet fresh to mask a bad smell. We had no phone, no TV remote and no clock. When I asked at the front desk, they said they didn't have any left. I asked if we could move because of the smell and they said they were full. You could hear people all night long at the pool partying. The next day we complained and they moved us to a room that clearly had someone smoking in it the night before. Back down to the front desk we went with all our stuff. They moved us again to a jacuzzi suite which was okay but still had flaws. The entire hotel seemed run down and dirty. The clincher.....my husband went into use the bathroom down at breakfast on Sunday morning. When he got into the stall there was across the toilet paper dispenser a long bread knife. He went out and told the chef and the chef said, 'oh yeah' and took off to retrieve his knife. He had a knife in the toilet stall with him. OMG!!! I would sleep in my car before I would stay in this hotel again. Very bad experience.

Great for the Price
By Married and Happy, 9/12/11
We were very happy with the room and it looked like they were remodeling a section of the hotel when we stayed. Very nice pool area and the decor inside was pretty cool. We'd stay there again and believe me my wife is picky about clean.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/27/11
If you are looking for a nice place to stay, keep looking. From the moment you step up to the desk, it sets the tone for your stay. The ceiling over the front desk is falling down. When I got to my TINY room, it was an even greater disappointment. The walls are so thin that I was kept awake most of the night by my fellow travellers. If anyone with a handicap were to use that metal bar in the bathtub area, they would run the risk of becoming even more handicapped; one end of it is not attached to the wall and it swings around! The hot tub near the pool makes a loud noise which can be heard all over all night. There were little black specks on the bed linens (I slept on towels all night since I did not know what they were!) The only reasaon I went there was because Webers had no vacancies and Clarion did; now I know why!

price differences
By cbok32, 11/3/09
Why is that this place has 20 or 30 different prices on the internet? I even went in there to check the price and got 2 different ones on the same deal. They sure don't make it easy to want to stay here.Plus all these stupid travel discount places and sites on the net don't make any sense.

motel hell
By oopsy, 8/7/08
They call this Best Western Exectutive Plaza....Sounds Impressive. The entrance appears nice, the interior smells of chlorine. The rooms are typical Super 8 for a lot more money. King size bed looked nice felt like a slab. The toliet barely flushed, the bath tub drain did not work. The view was of demolition site. For 69.00 per night stay at the Motel 6 on State St. Shower works good, bed is comparible to Best Western and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Stay Far Away!
By Steve S, 5/28/08
This hotel should not be on anyones list of where to stay. Check in was the usual. Lobby smelled like chlorine! Hallways like chlroine. Room was musty smelling, air conditioner was only a fan. No cooling at all, said they would check on it. 2 small pillows on a King size bed! After taking a shower i was standing in 8 inches of water, did not want to know why it wasn't draining, exhaust fan just rattled away, it only works when the light is on! Continental breakfast was not much, hard boiled eggs must have been boiled several times. Food is better at a gas station. Tables were sticky. Very unclean area and smelled like chlorine! At hotels i always leave .54 cents laying on the table while i'm out for the day. This is the first hotel where all the money was gone. I told the front desk about it and the girl told me I should not leave money laying around, and maybe..........get this...... the "cleaning crew thought it was a tip". Would not recommend even pulling in the parking lot at this dump! Stay away!

Looks Can Be Decieving
By J, 1/24/06
We stayed with our hockey group a few weeks ago. When we pulled-up, I was not impressed - looked more like a motel than a hotel. When entering the lobby, my opinion changed. LOVED the rooms surrounding the pool area (2nd floor). Made it VERY easy to keep an eye on the kids without having to go to a separate locked entrance. The hot tub was only luke warm with no help from the maintenance person. The staff (one front desk girl in particular who, I'm told, happens to be the manager's daughter) needs an attitude adjustment and be taught the value of customer service - beyond rude! I certainly didn't like one of them flirting outrageously with my 14 year old son as he walked by. Young man at the desk the morning of check-out was extremely helpful and very courteous. Overall, the value was worth the few pains. Rooms are older, but appear clean. We will probably stay again when in Ann Arbor.

I will never stay there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/05
This could be a nice hotel if it were designed properly, the a/c worked, if they tried to fix the a/c, if it were clean, if the food were good. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I was planing on staying for 5 nights but I didn't because the a/c broke on the second day. The room got very hot and nothing was done to fix it. Because of this I had to check out early. The room was clean but everything else was dirty. Lots of light came into the room at night. The tv had less than 30 chanels. The food wasn't good. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!
