it has came to my attention that the front desk girl that works nights is Inappropriately friendly with married men, even long after there stay.

Great Place to stay...
By ,
Our youth group enjoyed the Ramada very much, unlike the other review about the pool area our experience was delightful. The water was clear & refreshing, the Life guard was nice & attentive. The hot tub was my favorite place to relax & was working fine.

Hotel not bad/Staff different story
By ,
Our stay wasn't too bad. There isn't a life guard at the top of the slide as noted in another review but there is one at the bottom. It is kind of sad how some people don't feel that rules apply to them. The life guard did try to enforce the rules. Our rooms were very hard to keep climate control. It is either too warm or too cold. The bathrooms did not have vent fans which is causing the ceiling to peel off. Although the rooms were clean. When arriving I was under the impression if I paid cash I wouldn't have to give my credit card. They insisted so I gave them the card and I paid cash and got receipts but to my surprise my charge card has been charged. Tried to resolve over the phone but was instructed to bring my receipts back to the hotel for review. Not happy with the customer service and I am disputing the charges. I thought it was a vacation but now it is more hassle than it is worth so I will not be staying there again. Other than that the stay wasn't too bad. I will say if you want to stay here - you do have other options because there is plently other hotels located in this area. Sleep Inn is very reasonable and they serve a HOT FULL Breakfast Daily for $30.00 less.

Disappointing
By ,
Room was OK. Pool area was dingy, water slightly cloudy. The waterslide was NOT attended by a lifeguard, in fact there was no one up at the top of the 4 story slide other than the children using it. Swimming area in pool was small especially due to people splashing down from slide into main section of pool. It was intolerably noisy. We had a poolside room. A large group of teenage girls (20 or more) were having a party. They shrieked and played loud music in pool area up until 11pm. We had to use ear plugs to try to get some rest and relief from the noise. Did NOT like this Hotel.

BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
By ,
We had several disappointing experiences upon checking into the Ramada Plaza on 28th Street. At check-in there was a sign on the counter that the hot tub was out of order. We were never made aware of this when we made reservations for 2 nights, approx. 1-2 wks. before our stay. At that time we were offered "$20 off our next stay." There were some machines out of order, including some games, pop machines, and a change maker near the game room. The next morning when we went for our free breakfast, as it was stated on the website and in the phone book, there was a sign indicating that as of March 1st they no longer offered complimentary breakfast. This was another change that we were not made aware of when we made reservations. As we were making our early check out to go to another hotel that delivered what they advertised, we were not given any discount after voicing our complaints. When we asked about the $20 discount for our next stay, we were told to contact the manager and she would send it to us. The sales associate checking us out told us that she felt bad about the situation, but that corporate tells them not to imform the public that the hot tub is out of order. We will not be staying at another Ramada for obvious reasons and will tell our friends and family to BEWARE also.

Excellent Experience!!!!
By ,
We recently held our International Pen Pal convention at the Ramada Plaza and it was fabulous! I can't say enough about the hotel staff seeing that our every need was met and even going beyond our expectations. The pool and waterslide area was perfect for families with kids and the fact that they also gave kids life vest jackets to wear on the slide was a "life saver" to parents who didn't bring anything like this for the younger kids. The food at Old Chicago (connected to hotel now) was excellent. Breakfast in the hotel (complimentary) was certainly adequate and if anyone complained they could go out and PAY for their breakfast. We certainly had no isues and there were 125 of us there for nearly a week. No problems, no complaints - no kidding!

Fun for all!
By ,
The service here was excellent, there were fresh baked cookies at check-in, and the staff was very friendly. We stayed here with three families with children ages 4 to 16. We all had a blast. They have a huge water slide at their pool, which was enjoyed by the kids and adults! We had a poolside room which opened up to a recreation area which included a pool table, ping pong table, arcade and the pool and hot tub. There was a very nice breakfast included in the price. We look forward to staying here again!

Decent Hotel
By ,
The hotel was fine and in a very convienient location. The rooms were nice and fairly modern. One caution- the food in the hotel is not very good for either breakfast or dinner- take advantage of the plentiful local dining spots close to the hotel. Additionally the proximity to the mall made Christmas shopping very easy. It is a good value for the price.
