delightful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/08
I love the rooms. I have been to this hotel 3 times. every time there was a jacussi in the room amazing showers, comfortable beds and kitchenettes. Room service is amazing. The restaurants have DELICIOUS food. We went there right after our wedding and they went out of their way to make sure it was special. Highly reccomend this hotel. they will not disappoint you.

Poor Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/08
The hotel/conference center was beautiful, however, the staff was not helpful. I did not receive the room reserved and we were on a private floor when I made this know to the front desk they said that room types aren't guaranteed. They then said they would move me but to a regular floor, did not want to do that so we didn't move. I tried to get a b-day cake for a guest of mine and they did not help me with that either, they were snotty and unhelpful. I love the hotel but the staff's professionalism is lacking!

Wonderful haven in kalamazoo!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/07
Unexpected surprise in Kalamazoo! Hotel was really beautiful, nice staff, great amenities, convenient location. Overall a great stay! Downside: Slower elevators, small business office (without air-conditioner) with only single computer to surf the internet.

I use to work here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/07
The rooms vary in size. This is a random distribution so if you get a small room, complain. Radisson Hotels participate in what is called "Yes I can." It really can be over-kill and is somewhat annoying. However, most employees generally care about your well-being and will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable. If you book a banquet, make sure any tips that you leave for your servers go to your servers. I have seen the sale reps take the gratuity and even in the contract when it says servers are being paid 19%...know that, that is a lie. They really only get ~10%.

Very nice accomodations..
By Nikki, 11/30/06
Don't know how often you hit Kalamazoo, MI, but this hotel is a gem. My stay here was nothing but wonderful from the service to the accomodations. The suite is perfect and roomy. I would use that area as a retreat from the city.

Best Hotel Experience Ever!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/17/06
I have stayed in this hotel twice in the last year and have nothing but fabulous things to say. First let me say that I travel extensively for pleasure and business and have experienced practically everything one could experience in a hotel- from the downright ugly to the greatest. This hotel is an example of how all hotels should be run. The rooms are clean, spacious, and provide wonderful amenities. The hotel itself is very nicely laid out with access to shopping and wonderful restaurants. Try Zazio's if you have a chance- great Italian food. The pool is beautiful with a waterfall and spacious fish tank for viewing while lounging in the hot tub. But, the best thing by far this hotel offers is its dedicated, helpful, and friendly staff. During my last stay I had a couple of problems (checked me into the wrong type of room first and failed to send a wake-up call). As you have noticed I didn't start this review with the problems because the problems were responded to so well by staff that it didn't matter. The fact is nobody is perfect and mistakes will be made but how they are handled is what matters and this hotel handles them well. The staff was so responsive to the issues and offered more than was necessary to make up for the problems. For the area the hotel is located the cost of rooms is a bit high but it is more than made up for by the fabulous service. Also, if you decide to stay at this hotel and afterwards are offered the chance to respond to an online survey, I recommend doing so. I did the survey and included the problems I had but also the great way the staff handled them. Within hours I received a personal email from management offering yet more ways to make up for the problems. They are truly dedicated to customer service, an art that is sorely lacking from most (especially the Best Western Center Inn in Norfolk VA- this is another hotel I stayed in during this same trip and is the polar opposite of the Radisson, please read this review if you are considering this place). Hope this helps.

Relax And Enjoy
By fredrick tidwilla, 01/12/06
Upon entering Kalamazoo Michigan stop by the Hotel if for nothing else but to visit Zazios the food and atmosphere of the place will stay with you some while so relax and take in as much of the place as you can and if you are staying just retire to a room upstairs

Best Kalamazoo has to offer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
Loved everything about the hotel. Great resturants, newly renovated, friendly staff, sleep number beds, great shops! Everything was wonderful! Only flaw is parking. Must park in a garage across the street from the hotel and pay $5 a day.
