Detroit Regency Hotel, Detroit

There are some really bad hotels in Detroit except for the high priced ones, but if your looking for under 100 dollars for two people then THIS HOTEL! is the one for you. The staff was fantastic, the room was nice, and the beds were very comfortable. There are laundry facilities around the hotel which is nice if you need to do some quick laundry cleaning, and the complimentary breakfast was nice. I would highly recommend this hotel if your only staying for just one night.

I stayed at the Detroit Regency Hotel for one night. It was not clean at all and reeked of smoke. A week later I noticed an unauthorized charge on my account. After researching it was traced back to an individual in Detroit, MI. This particular card was only been used once during my stay in Detroit, at the Detroit Regency Hotel. I contacted the hotel and management was very nonchalant about my claim. I was not asked my name, contact information, the nights of my stay or any other pertinent items to do an investigation. I was simply told, “Can you email me?” I asked what information he would like me to email, and his response, “Whatever you think is helpful.” DO NOT STAY HERE BECAUSE YOU MAY BECOME THEIR NEXT FRAUD VICTIM.

The place is probably one of the worst I have stayed in. It looks to me that they spend $0 on maintenance. The walls were warped, there were tile missing, carpeting probably has never been replaced, our bathroom floor as well as the elevator floor were sticky. We asked for extra towels and the Lady at the front desk said if they had extra she would bring them to our room and she did. The only good thing about this hotel was the lady at the counter (Matrice.) She needs to be working an upper class hotel, nit some dump. We noticed several doors that were left open, we think friends of the staff are living there. Think twice about saving v sense of security.

Was in town for a ball game on the weekend. Hotel offered free shuttle to and from the game. Didn't have to pay for parking! Staff was very friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend!

It was the most unpleasant experience in my life!!!!!! I couldn't wait to get home & take a shower, 'coz i felt like i spent a night in a chicken coop!!!! It wasn't clean enough, the curtain rod was about to fell of the wall, there was only one small and one big towel & they raugh, no paper towel.... NEVER EVER STAY IN THAT HOTEL!!!

THERE WAS A GANG OF MEN IN THE PARKING LOT. WE WALK IN THE THE LADY AT THE DECK WAS BUSY WITH HER DAUGHTER AND GRANDCHILD.FINALLY WHEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM IT LOOK LIKE IT HADN'T BEEN CLEAN. THE CARPET HAD DIRTY SPOT ALL OVER IT. IT WAS REAL DUMP... THE PRICE WAS $100.00 A NIGHT..

Service was poor-No Security-Over Priced-Uncomfortable Beds-Dirty Tubs-Unfriendly Staff-Local Hang out for the Boys-N-Da-Hood-High traffic of male prostitues. My company vehicle was stolen, the police was called, the news cameras responded quickly because it was a high profile event. The staff was questioned they got upset and the service got worst. My credit card was charged after I paid cash upon checkout.I called and was told it was a mistake and would take 3-5 days to get taken care of. I asked for a manger and was told, the manager doesn't work on the weekends. The only thing good about the stay was the apple juice and the free wireless internet.

I really enjoy my stay there but had hot water problems in the morning time. I had to wait for half an hour before the water got warm again sooner after that water got really cold within the 20 min. I think the price was to much for the location and the complimentary breakfast wasn't really what I thought it would have been with the price that I had paid for. They don't even have a weekend special rate the prices vary each day. Something to think about.

I enjoyed the stay because it was right down the street from where I had to work for the weekend....The service was very hospitable. The location was very convenient. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The view was very nice. I really enjoyed the location because there was a convenient store, restaurants, and the park was very near.

It was a very beautiful setting overlooking the Detroit River, I loved every minute and the room sevice was excellant.
