Truly Cape Cod
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/08
I had the pleasure of staying at the Town Crier for 4 nights June 16th through June 19th 2008. If you are looking for the glitz and glamour of a casino setting, this is not the place for you. The Town Crier is truly fashioned after Cape Cod. The rooms were exceptionally clean (again, not fancy, but with a New England appeal). They offered every ammenity you needed. If it wasn't there, just ask, and the staff did their best to supply it. Every morning, we had a full breakfast before setting out to tour the Cape. I would sincerely recommend this family-owned motel to anyone who is looking for relaxation, comfort and friendliness of staff.

You get what you pay for.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/07
Likes: *Location is great! *Price is right! *Rooms are tidy and as clean as "old" can possibly be. *I needn't worry that my children would "ruin" anything. Dislikes: *The pool as a whole looks great, but can use some major cleaning. The buildup on the walls when up close was disgusting. *The $6 Breakfast buffet was ridiculous. The variety is minimal as are the portions that are served to you. The owners must be diabetics as the fruit buffet, all canned fruits, were all sugar free. Oh, and the $6 doesn't include coffee! That's and extra $1.50! *The friendliness was missing altogether. Not one person who ran this establishment seemed to have a friendly personality, it certainly didn't seem like a "job that they loved". The kids who worked in the "restaurant" were smile-less and zombie-like.

my family has been visiting this motel for many years. I came here with my family as a child and now I take my own family.

The service is always excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is in the perfect spot, right in the middle, very easy to get in and out of.

Will find other accommodations next year.
By Shadal, 6/24/05
Overall the experience wasn't horrible but it was not to my satisifaction. The rooms were in ok condition, could have used a little more detail cleaning, the TV and nightstand had a layer of dust and the window sills were covered in pollen.

Lovely quiet stay off season
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/19/05
The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean neat & tidy. The $5.00 breakfast was okay for the price, though they would attact more people if they offered whole muffins (as opposed to sliced sections). Also buying orangs juice separately when you don't drink coffee seemed a bit odd. On the whole though, a very nice place.

Happy Memories!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/05
At the time, it was family owned and they gave personal care and attention. Most welcoming and peaceful location. Loved the pool/pinball room.
