WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/08
I DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. FIRST OF ALL IT ADVERTISED THAT THERE IS AN INDOOR POOL, AND THERE IS NOT. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND THE FRONT DESK REPRESENTATIVES WERE CLUELESS AND RUDE. I AM TELLING MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS TO NEVER BOOK A ROOM IN THIS CRUMMY PLACE. The area is full of crime and a horrible location as far as safety goes.

Much Better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/24/08
The Lexington Hotel (formerly The Best Western) has improved significantly since these reviews. They have upgraded the facility very nicely, and the service is better. I had an issue that was resolved very professionally. The hotel is close to the new National Harbor in Fort Washington, MD and close to neighboring Washington, DC.

worst stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/08
This has to be the worst hotel stay ever. Had to stay at the hotel during a convention. The hotel is suppose to be non smoking, but smoking odor in the room was terrible. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Don't recommend it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/08
We stayed there on our senior class trip. I don't actually know what we paid but I'm assuming it wasn't too much b/c our school is cheap. On our first evening we were there I took a shower right away b/c we'd been on a bus for 20 hrs and hadn't showed for a while. I had the shower curtain closed & only a little water sprayed out when I got in. Soon after I was out a scary employee that looked like a child molester came to our room b/c he said 2 floors down it was leaking. We had to let him in and he thought there was water everywhere but there wasn't he told us to shut the shower curtain which I had and we said we'd be more careful and he left. One of the other girls then went to take a shower and I went downstairs with a friend to get more towels b/c he'd used our floor mat like a mop. When we got upstairs he was knocking again b/c "it was pouring down in the room below" he said make sure you have the shower curtain closed. We thought my friend did and made sure she did. Then one of my friends pointed out it was probably a plumbing problem and he agreed and left. They ended up having to move us but there was no more room on our floor with our other classmates. We were moved two floors down to a floor that was under construction. The hall smelled like pot. Luckily they did fix it the next day and we moved back up to our original room but another group's sink was leaking and they had to move the next day and never moved back. Also some of my other friends' sink was leaking onto their carpet but they were afraid to say anything b/c they didn't want the scary man near there room. Also from pictures we saw before it looked nice but this hotel has definitely seen its better days a long time ago. The only good thing is that it probably was only around half an hour from downtown DC depending on traffic of course.

Never had the chance to stay
By Mom 4 sure, 1/8/08
I never had the chance to stay. I walked in to the front desk and the attendant never acknowledged me. She was on the phone conversating to someone about bringing her dinner and what the other person was doing. I stood there about 3 minutes and gave up. I went across the street to the Comfort Inn which served the same purpose and was helped right away. Very disappointed!

Get a life and get another hotel !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
I spent 5 days there and it was not good. Noise in hall ways and allot of road construction. It is now difficult to get to metro (very expensive) and many people have warned me about crime in the neighborhood. The swimming pool was broken. Trust me do yourself a favor and stay away, there are many nice hotels in other local areas. Hamilton

Desk Service
By JTOY1999, 4/20/07
My stay at the Best Western Hotel was not a good experience. Although it's a very beautiful hotel, the front desk was disorganized. They did not have my reservation; I was given a room that was already occupied and last the charge was processed twice against my Credit card, which took almost a week to credit my account.

Great Place
By Lesa, 8/28/06
We spent 5 night at this Best Western and couldn't of been happier. The women who work the front desk in the morning are the best. They were always very helpful with directions, recommendations for places to eat,how to get to the Downtown DC. From the moment we walked into the motel until we left I felt like they were taking a special interest in us. The rooms were clean and the beds were very confrontable. They had to be new. No sagging!! If we are ever in the area again we would stay here!

Not bad but cleanless could be better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/05
Well all in all its a relative good and ralative cheap hotel, it's the cheapest in the DC area. The connecten from the hotel to Downtown Washington is really good, there is a Park and Ride parkinglot at Oxon Hill Road, round 500m (~0.4mi) from the hotel, and in the roush hours the Metro-Express Bus lines P17 and P19 are going around every 10 minutes and the take about 25 minutes to Pensilvania Ave - Smithsonian's. The busticket costs per person one way $3. But the cleanless of the rooms wasn't really good, there was a lot of dust at the frame of the bed and there was a big bug walking around in my room. Also the pool restrooms weren't really clean, i wouldn't walk there without shoes. The pool itself was 3 to 5 ft deep and all in all not bad, but the spa was not filled with water and a lot of dirt and garbage was in there. In the hotel there was free Wireless LAN 8011.G standard with high speed internet access, the effective internet speed was around 50KB per second. I had a room in the 2nd floor and i only had a good connection when i was sitting on the floor. in the lobby the connection was perfect. The continental breakfast was a buffet with sandwich-white brad, muffins and other things. This wasn't bad. If you are looking for a cheap place to spend a night near Washington I would take this hotel.
