Comfort Inn Conference Center, Bowie

I have stayed at Comfort Inns many times including this one every year for several days over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. It is always over crowded to the point it makes it virtually impossible to get into the breakfast bar. This year I received notice that my sister had a heart attack while I was staying. I talked to the front desk about checking me out early and they refused. I asked to speak to the manager and again they refused to even let me speak to them! They gave me a card and told me to call during regular business hours. I called them and they told me that there is no management staff on duty on the weekends and the housecleaning staff is gone after 2. They would NOT refund my money even considering the circumstances. I emailed corporate and NEVER received a response. I will NEVER stay at another Comfort Inn!

Customer service from the Food and Beverage director was unprofessional and unacceptable. Director was rude and cannot accept customer's concern and dissatisfaction. Instead of improving their customer service the director was defensive and was talking over me worse part he hang up the phone!!!it is not worth the aggravation and stress--- its not worth the time and money. will never recommend this hotel for banquet again!!!!

No early check-in was granted at 10am without another $50 fee even though they had plenty of rooms cleaned already and neither the hotel or parking lot was full. Did not get my wake up call. There were tiny blood spots on my blanket which I didn't notice until check-out. Very slow sink and tub drain and my toilet had major issues. When I spoke to mgmt to notify them and get an apology, GM (Kia) was very abrasive and Manager (I think her name was Brenda) was very nonchalant and clearly incompetent. I felt like they ganged up on me and I wasn't even asking for a discount - I had already checked out by then. I even vaguely heard them talking about me when I walked away. I will never stay here again and refuse to send any more of my employees to stay there as well. Had a hard time finding hotel from the highway. This experience was not fun. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Taking service into account, it was not worth the hundreds of dollars spent. Please note, the breakfast lady was awesome! Front desk staff was ok. Housekeeper Mighty and Cindy, Elaina and Jonathan at the front desk were very sweet.

My wife & I spent 2 nights here (and even qualified for the Senior rate!) while visiting family in Bowie. Had a very nice stay, along with the complimentary buffet breakfast. No complaints here.

We stayed in a suite with two toddlers (two year old and four year old. They provided a crib for the two year old and the younger stayed in bed that rolled out from the couch. The staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. The rooms were kept clean. We stayed here for about ten days after we sold our house and it was nice to have grounds were the kids could be taken out to run around. On the main floor they also were able to stretch their legs without disturbing guests because no guest rooms are too close to the lobby and walkway to the conference rooms. The complementary breakfast came in very handy and there was always something that even a vegetarian could eat- nothing gourmet mind you but, I appreciated it and even the kids who could be picky eaters always found something that they liked. We had no noise problems but, I guess that always depends on the types of neighbors that you have. We had a guest who had a dog right across from us for a short while but, we only heard the dog bark once when we passed by the door and then we didn't hear any more barking when we entered our room. The rooms were pleasantly decorated. The carpet was a little old but, that was not a big deal as it didn't smell or anything. We stayed in a smoking suite because that was all that was available at the time (though we are not smokers) and we were able to get the smell out by keeping the air on exhaust (after a while). All in all I would reccomend. It was convienent to have lunch (for a fee) and dinner (for a fee) if needed. There is plenty of shopping nearby so you are not far from anything really. There is a Target, Michels and a Staples right across from the hotel's complex (along with other stores. There is a Mcdonalds, Wendy's, Presision Tune (should your car break down or need tire work). BJ's, Home Depot and Lowes are also pretty close by. It's in a good neighborhood (I should know I just sold a house in the subdivision across from the Hotel). Don't be afraid to stay here. If you are not happy about something they do not ignore you and they try to help you as best they can in a timely manner. At least that was my experience and again we stayed there for ten days so we got a pretty good idea of what its like to be there. Hope that helps

The Comfort Inn general number directed me to this hotel, although I requested a hotel in Virginia Beach. After discovering the error, I called the Comfort Inn, in Bowie, and canceled my reservation. I was told this was done, and I would not be charged. A month later, I had a charge on my credit card, and followed up with management at the Comfort Inn, in Bowie. They refused to remove the charge. I travel extensively and have never had a hotel treat me like this previously. I will not stay in a Comfort Inn again.

The room was spotless as were the grounds. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linens. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. Loved the fridge and microwave. The pool area was very nice and clean. The breakfast was AWSOME!! Hot eggs, potatoes, meats, french toast and waffles, plus plenty of 'continental' selections too. Best of all are the real plates (Not styro!) We had a wonderful stay and hated to check out! Spring for the 1 bedroom suite it's well worth the price!

Desk personnel were fantastic! Sought out possible discounts. We got the LAST ROOM at 9pm--expecting the worst, it was a very nice suite with large desk, very clean bathroom, large rooms and comfortable bed. Wish we could stay longer.

I stayed here Sun through Wed nights. My room was adequate for space, handicapped bathroom wonderful, bed comfortable and area was fairly quiet. I really liked having a recliner in the room, also. I liked the in room free wireless internet access. The heating unit gave me problems. I couldn't regulate a constant temp. in the room but a fan helped that problem. Nice hot breakfast as part of the room price was helpful. Easy to find.

Our stay was the worst I have ever experienced. The motel was so NOISY. The doors kept slamming and I heard peoples cell phones ringing and this was all after 11 pm at night. The bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. In room 202 the whirlpool tub sprayed water every where over the bathroom. THe walls and floor were soaked. The shower handle sprayed every where but your body also. What a nighmare. Never again.
