One of Baltimore's best ...
By beepur, 10/11/08
Loved the location, the service (everyone you encounter from the moment you step out of your car until the moment you leave is hospitable, friendly & professional); the building is beautiful - I got lost in the corridors but it was a fascinating walk, the decorating is amazing. You can spend a rainy day in this hotel and enjoy every minute of it! The only thing that caught me was that a bottle of Fiji water costs $5.00! Seemed they could have included one of those for free!

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/08
My family (2 kids ages 4 & 8) loved everything about this hotel! We purchased the Aquarium package which came with 2 adult tickets (we purchased child tickets at the front desk upon arrival) and 2 breakfasts (we used the credit toward ordering room service which was good) The room was large and inviting, the pool clean, and the staff was friendly. We definitely plan on returning to this hotel again!

Not for kids - no cribs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
I loved the location and the quality of the suite we had was wonderful. The view we had from our corner room couldn't be better. HOWEVER, we traveled with our 18 month old and our 2 year old - both of whom we reserved a crib for. We were repeatedly told that they provide "STANDARD SIZE" cribs, however they do not. We were offered a small, metal crib with a 1 1/2 inch mattress or a playpen - both of which were of questionable cleanliness. Also the linens provided were NOT appropriate, creating a well-known hazard for young children. We were very disappointed with that aspect of our stay and with the lack of concern of the staff, which put a damper on the trip. We were fortunate enough to rent 2 cribs at the last minute from a company in the area - Bringing Baby - who delivered and set up while we had dinner.

Luxury getaway

Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Excellent location on the Inner Harbor, could walk to everything I wanted to explore. Did not use my car for 2 days.

My new home away from home!
By chazz b, 04/07/08
What a great stay. One of the best nights of rest Ive had in a long time. The room feelt like I was in a friends gest room. Over all the hotel is very clean and frendly. The location is perfect right next to the habor and all of the events are in walking distence. I plan on going back soon.

among the worst beds ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/08
This hotel has among the incomfortable beds I have every slept in. The mattresses were soft, lumpy, and sagging. Never mind a 4 star; this is what I imagine you would get in a 1 star. Location was good, but I would never stay there again.

Home away from Home
By Sandy, 01/22/08
We liked the staff and the rooms. The bar was just fabulous with the best piano music we have heard in years. We liked eating in the bar also. We found the dining room cold and uninviting. We plan to stay there again when we are next in Baltimore.

Nice, but not worth it
By Nissa, 10/30/05
My (now) husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and got the romance package. The staff "forgot" to deliver the champagne that was due on arrival, and the mini bar had not been refilled from the previous guest. There was a half eaten candy bar and a lot of missing items that they subsequently charged to our bill after our departure. Additionally, there was only one available robe in the closed when the room description claimed two. The decor did not impress - ornate and outdated, somewhat reminiscent of the 70s. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the room service was quick. The bed was comfortable, the pool and gym area was nicely decorated and had updated equipment. The location was great too. Overall, the experience was nice, but not worth the price, even for the Baltimore Inner Harbor. A similar service standard can be found at many of the other, less expensive, hotels in the harbor.
