Dont stay here unless you like filth.
By ,
What a terrible way to end a vacation. The sheets on the bed were not changed and stank, there was still coffee in the coffee pot. The deck was filthy. After a nice night in the town of Booth Bay after we returned to this nightmare hotel. The manager in the morning could have cared less. Save your money and your vacation dreams for any other place in town. Its a shame places like this exist to ruin a towns good name. They should have sunk the tugboat.

Nice Location !!!
By ,
What you see is what you get at this location. We arrived without a reservation, no problem. Staff provided rates and gave us keys to check out a few rooms, so we were able to make a choice. October is quiet time, very peaceful looking out over the deck with a cold one in hand. Complimentary breakfast is OK, but that is not what we were there for. I would recommend one or two nites at this location, preferably in off season to avoid the crowds.

Love it

I can not understand the negative comments. Place is very nice, price is a little high, but you do not have to stay here. All inns in ME are expensive compared to Motel 6. Plenty of eateries in the area. Tug Boat Inn is average to good. You pay for convenience and free parking which you need here. You can walk to most every thing in town. It is hard to please some people. You are not here for spa, pool, internet, work out room etc. This is Maine. Enjoy and kick back. We will be back Oct. 15th /07 with plenty of cash to have a great time.

Mediocre

Actual costs do not reflect like rooms advertised on line in the same building . Needs internet access in the rooms. Room nice and clean. Great room and view, easy access to in town. No Pool, No Spa, No Hot Tubs,No Exercise areas.

Has a nursing home feel
By ,
Small rooms. Staff don't so much serve as endure your presence - they appear to have worked in this same job for quite a while. Not so clean. Convenient to downtown but can be noisy at times. Restaurant has good food but is expensive. Overall, a bit on the trashy side.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else!
By ,
My family and I have been staying at the Tugboat Inn for eight years straight. The rooms have always been clean, the location is excellent, the view of the harbor is beautiful and the staff is outstanding. We would never even think of staying anywhere else in Boothbay Harbor.

Been there 18 years straight

Been staying at this Hotel for 18years now. The 5 star staff has always been extremely helpful and seem to be very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. See you October 14th . Don and Henry, Seattle

You are too expensive for senior couples
By ,
Your continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. Our dining food experience was just average. The ladies at the reservation desk were very pleasant Our room were pleasant.

Overpriced

Not the place they advertise. Can't recommend it. Staff is not trained and there seemed to be a lack of interest in pleasing anyone.

Average Stay

Nothing real fancy even though we had one of the best rooms in the main building on the third floor with balcony overlooking the harbor. Room was clean however and fairly new condition. The best thing about this hotel is that it is close to everything in town and within walking distance of everything. Most of the other hotels are on the other side of the harbor and one would either have to drive or walk across the footbridge a good quarter mile to get back to town where most all the attractions are. Plus you can park your car for free on this hotel's grounds. This is real important because there is not much parking to be found anywhere around town.
