The New Stable Inn, Brewer

I was in Brewer in 2009 with 3 buddies. The guy at the front desk was very accomodating. You can't go wrong with the price of this place and location. The party room has 3 beds and a sleeper sofa, just don't move it there is a large red stain underneath. Its probably just wine. Looked like a 2007 Merlot to me however I didn't taste it. Our room had 2 microwaves and cable but we didn't need it, there was plenty of entertainment on the property. Dominos will deliver to the new stable inn! I was very satisfied with my stay and if your not a pretentious doosh you will like this place too. Great price and no paperwork needed just give him cash and he gives you key. Boom that simple. Just don't bring kids. Again, ask for the party room!

The lobby area reeked of cigarette smoke and beer. The employees openly smoke and drink while working. There is a bar connected to the motel so there was always drunken scumbags around yelling and blasting their music all hours of the night. Someone actually was able to unlock my door while I was in bed trying to sleep the only thing that kept them from getting in my room was the flimsy chain lock. This is a very scary place to stay!!!!!

My mother and I went down for the Victoria Day week end along with my daughter and her friend (11 yrs old), not really expecting to get what we got. I have travelled a lot down through the US and Canada and when we checked in here I couldn't believe what I had seen. We were walking to our door and there was or what looked like and BIG pool of blood outside our door with drops that lead from the room they had given us. There was stains all over the bed spreads, there was a window at the back with no curtain and a big hole in the screen. The bathroom was so dirty that I would sooner bath in a mud puddle, the toilet seat was all broke, ect. The best thing of all there wasn't even a lock on the door. I'll tell ya I wasn't staying there and we drove till about 1:30 am to find somewhere else to stay. We got up in the morning from our other place to go and return the key back to the stable inn, I wanted just to drive by and throw it in. But what we did is went and bought a disposible camera and went and took pictures of everything and when my mom went to the office to give them back their key they had said they was nothing wrong with that room. Go figure...Worst place I have ever gone...Out $65.00 but it gave us something to remember that week end!!!

the filthiest place ever! checked in at 9 urine on the toilet rim, hair on the pillows, no answer at the office, doors locked, we were out of there by 9:20. don't ever stop there!
