Doubletree By Hilton New Orleans Airport, Kenner

Our stay was very good. Very clean room and the bed was super, the sleep number bed is the way to go. We loved that bed best nights sleep we have ever had. Just stayed the one night so didn't use the resturant or any other amenities. Oh yeah the price was great used Priceline.

At about a quarter of six in the morning I was awakened by a rustling sound in my room. I thought,great, somebody else is in here too. So after I managed to find the light and turn it on, I discovered there was water coming from a box in the corner of the ceiling and splattering on the other bed. Could have been worse, I could have chosen that bed to sleep in! I called the front desk to let them know I had water coming through the ceiling and onto the bed. After I told them my room number, I waited for somebody to come. Ten minutes passed, then fifteen and still nobody came. So I got dressed and went down to the front desk to tell them again. Who did you tell she asked? Some guy I said. Oh he's gone to the airport she replied. Then she offered me another room? At six in the morning? I had the alarm set for ten I said I think I'll pass. By this time I was wide awake and the water had stopped. I suspect a leaky pipe from the room upstairs during a shower. There was mold on the ceiling and the carpet was wet in front of the closet the night before so this wasn't the first time this had happened. I stacked the pillows to support two trash cans to catch as much water as I could and nobody ever bothered to thank me for my efforts to do damage control to the bed.

My daughter and I had the misfortune of staying here 3 nights in March 09. While the beds were really confortable, and the room fairly ok, the service was attrocious. During our 3 day stay, we rang reception to ask about a problem with our internet, she answered the phone with "WHAT", was extremely rude, and very unhelpful. So we called back a little while later, hoping to find a different attendant, got the same lady....and another rude response! We did'nt contact reception again after that, fended for ourselves, couldnt wait to get away...and cancelled our booking for our return trip, and checked in at another hotel! We felt like we were putting them out...NEVER AGAIN!!!

The beds and linens are the best. The staff from the front desk to the maids are so friendly and helpful. Rose, in sales, is awesome!

Great location, close to the airport. Love the select comfort bed and beautiful linens.Very nice pool. Close to a variety of restaurants and convenient parking. Easy access from the highway.

Well, if you're looking for a bed and a bath, that's about it. If you like to wake up to construction drills, fire alarms and even the Kenner Fire Department in the parking lot, then this hotel is for you. I wish I was sarcastic, but I am not. This all happened on our first day at the hotel. We were under the impression that this hotel was completely renovated in Feb 2005 (as a Radisson), but it was not. In fact, all signs at hotel had the word "February" whited out. We even had to call security just to get a bucket of ice! We were placed in a room that was in the construction zone, and was not moved to the renovated rooms until the 4th day of our 4 days there (even though renovated rooms were available the whole time we were there). Staff did not warn us that liquidators were going to knock on our "do not disturb" door and destroy the room. We had to move out with no notice. No movies or TV features other than basic cable. Staff was friendly, but just shrugged shoulders when we had complaints. Pool was extremely nice, but too cold to visit. I'm sure the new Radisson will be spectacular because the renovated room was LUXURY, but CALL before booking to make sure ALL construction is completed.

Had reservations for this past weekend. After checking in went to our room, and the room was FILTHY!!! Floor hadn't been vacuumed, trash was under the bed. Mgmt showed other rooms, but they looked the same. Was told we would have the new rooms when we made reservations, needless to say, we got our money back and left. Found another hotel down the street.

Hotel was being remodeled and there were construction workers in hardhats everywhere. Not a stick of furniture in the lobby, just pure dust and sheetrock. They were not ready for guests!
