Little Hotel offers BIG BANG!
By Lisa Marie, 10/10/11
After I did some research on haunted hotels I came across LGH. While celebrating my birthday in October I was looking for some "haunting" fun and great location to be safe while partying. I loved that I was right on Bourbon St. & just a couple of blocks from the Historic French Market for day shopping. Rooms were a bit dingy, but what do you expect from a place that is almost 170 yrs. old? You don't go to NOLA to be cooped up in your room, you go to enjoy the atmosphere and feel the history! Breakfast (biscuits & coffee) is offered from 8:30-10:30am. Hotel staff, especially Tony was extremely helpful & friendly. Even though I may have not had a paranormal experience, I enjoyed my stay & would most definitely go back.

Up all night --Noisy bar across the street
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/10
Little did I realize that my balcony room would become the nightmare of all trips. The bar across the street (the Blacksmith Bar) had noisy rap and rock blasting at deafening levels all night until 5:30 in the morning!!! Not much sleep to be had here folks! Rarely do I say "never again", but this is one of those unexpected wake-up calls.

Will definetly stay again
By jenn, 10/14/10
We stayed the weekend of Oct 8th - 11th and atfer reading some of the other reviews I was a little worried but once we checked in my worries went away. We stayed in room 40 which is the entire 4th floor and the room is huge! Now don't expect brand new like some of the hotels because it isn't you have to remember this place was built in the 1800's but it is historical. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. We will be staying there again with the ghost that is stays in room 40.

Unsanitary and no service!
By Tia, 5/18/10
The room was filthy, dust on very ledge and surface, a condom wrapper under night table. Breakfast is supposed to be served. On Friday morning I woke up to get coffee, there was none. Nor any food. I went to the front desk and was told to bring a receipt in and we would get a credit for breatkfast. Sat and Sun they served on 2nd floor coffe, water and biscuits from the tube! On Sat and Sun we where rudely awakened by the staff in the 2nd floor kitchen talking aboutthere night out...Both mornings very loud. On Sunday morning was in a rage because someone made coffee and it was not made right. It over flowed(that kind of stunk) but the noise level was crazy! No manager was on property the entire visit to discuss this. Upon check out I was told a manager would have to credit our account and one one would call! It never happened. Then I wrote a note from their web site, no one responded. When I called yesterday Joann claimed to be the manager. SHe was rude and told me if it was that bad why had I not checked out!! (umm maybe because I would have still been charged and finding another location in New Orlaeans on a weekend would have been fun). I asked Joanne the name of the owner, she told me it was none of my business. I asked her to have the GM or owner call me,,,it has not happened.

Avoid this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/17/10
We heard there are new owners. This place is a dump. Leak stains in the ceiling, stains on the bed spread, termite damage on the baseboards and rude staff to boot Leaks in the ceiling, rotted base boards, dirty toilet seat, stains on the bed spread, and rude staff. What more can you ask for? Blasting music from the bar across the street. I love old, historic places but this place was the worst! Can't think of anything good to say.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/09
We go to the big easy several times a year, and have stayed at almost every hotel in the frenchquarter, parking is the best and cheapest we have found so far. Would highly recommend, saw where someone reviewed that it was not clean. :( I think they may have mistaken dirty for historical, we are talking about a home built in the 1800's so shiny and new it is not. But, that is what we loved about it. Our room was breathtaking. Superb staff and fabulous balcony view. Can't say enough good things about it. Perfect for couples. If you love history you will love this, very quiet at night but close to the party. Alot of bang for your buck.

No Refund
By Bring It, 4/28/09
Cancelled my reservation and now a month later, still have not received a credit of my deposit. Be careful when reserving. You may not get your deposit back.

Think Twice Before Giving a Deposit!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/07
After reading the reviews, we were excited about staying here, but due to a change in plans, we had to cancel our reservations. We called and called and after a month, we still did not receive our deposit back. We finally had to call our credit card company and pursue the matter through them. We will know better than to rebook at this hotel. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths :(

IT WAS GREAT!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/07
This place is amazing! From the true historical value to the personal service, this wonderful house is comfortable and inviting. The views of the city are beautiful and the balconies filled with the wonders of the French Quarter. There is no evidence of a storm here; only hospitality, a character by which the south is defined.

Winter in New Orleans- Post Katrina
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/06
My wife and I stayed in a balcony room overlooking Bourbon Street with hanging ferns and wonderful potted plants. The 18 foot ceilings and four poster beds with an extremely comfortable mattress made our stay. The Victorian period furniture throughout the room and hotel was beautiful. The weekend wine and cheese in the front palor gave us a chance to meet other guests and exchange stories of our days exploring. The attentive staff, cleaniness of accomodations and location are really what will make us come back to Lafitte.
