Terrible
DO NOT STAY HERE. First of all, the elevators are a nightmare, the worst I've ever seen. I expect elevators to be busy during check in/check out times, but we sat through 5, yes FIVE, elevators before we were able to make it on. Then, we were going up to the 18th floor one time and in the middle of our ride, it stopped on the 10th floor and just started going down. It completely changed direction. Secondly, the staff is terrible. We had to call for clean towels twice. When we were checking out, we called for a luggage cart and they told me I had to come to lobby to get it, only when I got there they were all out and had given mine away. Also, I admit, I know our belongings are our own responsibility, but a litte common decency and customer service was apparently WAY TOO much to ask of these people. I left a blue dress hanging in the closest. I realized it not even two hours outside of N.O. on my way home. I called and had to leave a message for the "executive housekeeper." She never called back, so I called her the next morning. I got her to answer, told her what was going on, she said she'd call me back....NEVER DID. So I called the next day, (we checked out on Sunday, it's now Tuesday), and she told me that she just went up to the room and spoke to the housekeepers and they said they never found a dress in my room and that the room hadn't even been cleaned yet. Really? 2 days later and still not cleaned? And what, my dress just disappeared?! Thieves. So I called and spoke to the manager on duty. I told him about everything, I was very polite and appreciative of him listening to me, I offered to pay extra shipping for him to ship my dress back to me... He took my number and said he'd call me back. Guess what... HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK EITHER. If you care AT ALL about decent customer service... DO NOT STAY HERE.
Also, our neighbors in the hotel happened to be from our home state, so we started talking to them. Their experience was just as bad. It took them forever to even get a room when they were "priority gold" members who had made reservations a month in advance. Then, they got stuck in a handicapped room, with NO shower curtain (they're not hadicapped, so water went everywhere when they showered). Also, they had a refrigerator in their room. When they opened it, the left-over containers from the previous guests were still in the fridge!!!! When they called the front desk to have someone come clean it out... they didn't clean out the fridge, they took the entire refrigerator OUT OF THE ROOM?!?! I will not be staying here again. They've lost ALL respect from me.
