HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY
By Keri, 3/19/09
I think these 3 good reviews are phony. They all sound like the same person wrote them. I stayed at The Columns recently and it was AWFUL. The rooms are old, dirty, musty. There wasn't a mattress pad on the bed, the shower was moldy, the room was dusty, the duvet was stained...go to trip advisor and see the REAL reviews. We all said the same thing. Do not waste your money!

Not just a hotel - an experience.
By Karen, 10/1/07
We have stayed at the hotel many times. Love the tasteful decorations, friendly staff, the garden district walks. Each room is an adventure in itself and unlike the others. Our daughter was married a few blocks away, the reception was l block a way and the reception was held in the beautiful ballroom of the Columns Hotel. The food was fantastic served in the elegance of New Orleans and provided a memory all of our guests continuously remark about. The extra perk is that it is located on the trolley car line and a trip to the French Quarter is effortless. We took our entire party down to the quarter post reception to continue our celebration.

Experience What New Orleans is All About
By Amy, 6/8/05
The Columns Hotel is in the ideal location to really experience what New Orleans has to offer. Right out front, you can hop on the Street Car and make your way to either the downtown, more specifically the French Quarter, or head in the other direction to see the Garden District and Uptown areas. This hotel is surrounded by beautiful old homes and elm trees that have beads hanging from their limbs from the Mardi Gras parades that have traveled this very street. The hotel has a great southern charm to it, with its big white colums, wide front porch, large ballroom for events, sitting room and, of course, the bar, which is a popular destination with even the locals. The rooms are all furnished with antique furniture, each having a stlye all its own. I have enjoyed this hotel so much, I chose it for my destination wedding in June 2004, bringing in friends and family from all over the country to enjoys this wonderful hotel and fun city!

location, location, location....
By Audrey, 5/18/05
This hotel was suggested by a friend and I could not have been more satisfied. The LOCATION was perfect. We could step off of the porch and take a walk through the Garden District. Or we could take a quick hop on the Streetcar to the French Quarter and back. The staff was friendly. The food was great. Even the locals frequented the hotel for dining and drinks. Most of the time we sat on the porch enjoying a fantastic bloody mary and fantastic weather. I would recommend to anyone.
