Nightmare stay
By ,
Just got back from New Orleans and we stayed at the Inn on Bourbon. When I made the reservation I specifically asked for a king bed, courtyard, quiet, non smoking room. What we got was an hour late check in, no A/C the entire time, enough towels for 1 person, screaming college kids all hours of the night the entire time we were there, slept on a pillow with mold on it and didn't notice it until the next morning and a manager that didn't seem to be concerned about any of these issues when checking out. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless your are in a fraternity. Great location but expect no sleep, lots of noise and management that doesn't give a s**t. Also, security was called by us and several other guests during our stay.

HORRIBLE SERVICE, DIRTY, DIRTY ROOMS, USED TOWELS
By ,
This was the WORST hotel I've EVER stayed in and I travel FREQUENTLY for business. Here is a copy of the letter I forwarded hotel management (Troy Aldrich) -- Recently, during a business trip to New Orleans, a guest and I decided to stay at your hotel – located at 541 Bourbon Street. With The Inn on Bourbon having direct affiliation with Ramada Worldwide, I felt confident that your hotel and staff would be capable of meeting my expectations; unfortunately, this was not the case. Upon check-in, I found the front desk representative to be very unprofessional and failed to offer a warm, welcoming greeting to the property. Initially, I was informed that only a king guest room was available for our stay; however, when booking, I requested and confirmed two beds. After continued persistence, I was informed that a two double bed guest room was available. Upon reaching the room, it was obvious that the room had not been serviced from previous guests. This was evident as towels were lying on the floor of both the bathroom and living areas. Further, trash had not been removed and peanuts were found scattered underneath the side of one bed. I immediately contacted the front desk to notify staff and management of the situation. I was informed that housekeeping would clean the room “when they had a chance”. I asked to be moved; however, my request was denied. Upon attending a business meeting and returning late, I found my room to remain in the same condition. I then obtained towels and laundered sheets from the front desk and advised the staff about the situation again; however, no resolution was provided. The air conditioning in my room failed to cool and after endless calls and communication to the front desk – requesting a member of management to return my call, I was left with a dirty room. The following day, housekeeping failed to clean my room and I returned to find the room to remain in the same condition as it was, upon check-in. The problems were never rectified and my requests were completely ignored – providing me with the worst guest experience possible. Prior to directing my concerns to your corporate team, I’d like to provide one additional opportunity to have my concerns investigated and a reasonable, amicable resolution provided by local hotel management. Mr. Aldrich requested photos, for which I immediately supplied to him. Later, after I had to follow-up through their corporate office, Mr. Aldrich offered a one night free stay to win back my business. ---- here is a copy of the email he returned to me on April 28th, 2010. --- Good Morning Mr. Turner Thank you for submitting your photos to us for your review. At this time, we will not be issuing any credits for your stay. However, I would like to welcome you back by offering a 1 night complimentary stay for a future date. We will follow up with Wyndham Worldwide about your experience with us and will contact customer care. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly for assistance. Kindest Regards, Troy Aldrich ---- This is NOT adequate and I've filed a charge-back dispute with my credit card company. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If there's a problem, and (based on my experience) their will be -- they will NOT correct it. They are insensitive and unresponsive to the guest experience.

Couldn't pay me to stay here again
By ,
I read the patrons review that had a broken window with the room located right on Bourbon Street. The same thing happened to us. The hotel staff offered no solutions and no help. There are many great hotels in New Orleans, but this is not one of them.

SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!!
By ,
SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!! and I do mean EVERYTHING!! We had a balcony room on the Toulouse St. side. Friendly staff, clean room, just a little on the small side. GREAT location for party people, your 5 steps from 4 bars. (Razzoo's is great!) but the bars are open til at least 4am and you will be a unwilling audience of BAD karaoke, if your a light sleeper . This is not really a place for children. (we sat on the balcony and watched 8 men urinate before 9pm) and everyone loves the smell of fresh garbage in the morning when you step out for breakfast... That said ~ its the best place to be if your are going to party and have a good time. If one person in your group is tired they can be walked home and your back in a flash. If you get a balcony room on Bourbon St. you never have to leave the room to party.. Close to River walk & great places to eat. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. You pay about $25 to park, but thats normal for area and they take care of car. Would visit again.

EXPENSIVE SECURITY DEPOSIT AND PARKING
By ,
$28 to Park Per night at the hotel and they charge an outrageous Security Deposit. $150 Security Deposit came out of my account instantly yet they say takes a week for it to be refunded.... Ridiculous! Dont even bother getting them to call/email you back!

STEPS AWAY!!
By ,
Steps away from EVERYTHING. Perfect location. Easy to get too off of exit 235 just double back over N Rampart onto Toulouse and BAM...slide into the Valet, and leave your car there for the entire trip. Because you can walk to everything you want to see or do in the French Quarter! Most hotels that promise Bourbon Balconies are too close to Canal...and are not as fun as this one. NIGHTLIFE DREAM. Take a shower, and be at Razoos in seconds. It is right next door....3 for 1!!!!

Great Hotel
By ,
Everything was fantastic the balcony over bourbon st was the best. the only thing that i did not like was being charged for parking, after paying that much for a room parking should be free or at least less than 25$. Overall it was great!!

I would Love to Go Back
By ,
We liked everything about the hotel (i.e., service location etc.) If there was anything I did not like it would be the fact that we were charged 25.00/night for parking. After being charged 270.00/might for the room, I really feel as though guest parking should be free of charge.

never ever again
By ,
a noisy room right on bourbon st. windows didnt open. we were caught there when hurricane katrina struck. they abandoned us and we were thrown out on the street to fend for ourselves. no compensation. and the boss lied to us.they left in cars when they could have got some guests out. only the help of an old guy with a pick up truck saved my father from certain death. he had run out of life saving medication. shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as for bourbon st,it is full of sex bars and topless bars.the place is dirty.full of bachelor parties and people who cant handle their drink. if you want to see the poor side you only need walk 2 blocks back from hotel
