return to my childhood

As I looked at the tavern, in the photo, I remembered me working at the tavern in 1983 while living at prospect house, on prospect street. this was my first real job, even though it didn't pay much, and no tipping was allowed, it was my first real encounter with making my own money.Working at the tavern as a waitor, and bus boy taught me that the value of work and doing a good job, was as equally important as the pay off was. As a young boy raised in children's homes, I was amazed at the massive presence of the hotel located at one end of Berea square,nestled in the center of Berea College, it is truly the heart of the town. I could only imagine how many great individuals had visited and passed through the tavern over the years. Before leaving Berea, at the age of 18, I vowed to myself that oneday I would also return to the tavern for celebration, after I had accomplished greatness in my own life,and in my own destiny.
