Great place to have a reception !

First of all, I would like to thank Brandy, Jenny and Rafael for the greatest night of my daughter Jessi's life ! We had my daughters reception in the Grand Ball room. Jenny and Rafael went to extreme's to please us. I could not have asked for any more ! The food was delicious. I must have had 15 people comment on the food alone. The way Jenny put personal touches on everything was above and beyond what was required. I can not thank the staff at Overland Park Marriott enough ! Thank you Brandy, Jenny, Rafael and Staff. You could not have done anything better . Sincerly, Mother of the Bride

Love this place!!!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and love it; it is so comfortable and the people who work there are very courteous and capable. I have even stayed during the construction and still enjoyed it! I can't wait 'til they are completely finished with the update. Try it, you'll like it!

Under construction / hallway echo chamber

As part of the current remodeling, I hope they plan to include sound dampening materials in the hallways. We stayed on the 9th floor. Each night between the hours of 1-3am, even with a fan running on the highest setting, I woke up convinced someone was yelling in our room. It was normal conversations taking place in the hallway/echo chamber. “Good night, see you tomorrow John. We’ll meet at 9am” sounded like it was being yelled through a bullhorn. The first night, I figured it was loud, drunk guests. That was not the case. This occurred every night because of the cave-like acoustics. This place is under construction. Workmen will me in your window by 8am on the weekend and 7:30 during the week.

this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in! the amenities are great and the staff is wonderful. i can't wait to come back to this hotel.

Good hotel, but beware pre-paid travel arrangements!

The hotel has a nice lobby and courteous people throughout. I was there for an overnight and conference the next day. The rooms are excellent quality and the conference services are top notch. My only gripe is that I had a very difficult time actually getting to the room. I arrived and announced my reservation to the counter clerk. She saw my reservation, but she could not give me the room key until the transaction had actually cleared the system. It seems that the pre-paid (through Yahoo Travel) room was not handled before at this hotel and they didn't quite know what to do. They ended up calling the travel service and verifying my payment, which caused a delay of thirty minutes before I could go to my room. This was an awkward and disappointing delay.

Beautiful hotel, here we come!

The thing that I liked about it, was that there was tons of places to go inside of the hotel. They also had a besutiful huge pool on the outside of it. A beautiful excercise room, and great room service, and wonderful inside pools!If I could live at the Mariott of Overland Park, I would.
