Don't stay here
This hotel was not in a great part of town. Hammond has a horrible stench to it.The hotel parking lot was a few feet away from the main road. It was called the Quality Inn, and the first thing we noticed was most of the lights on the letters of the sign were burned out. We walked in and the hotel concierges were flirting and fraternizing with some guy at the front desk. They were very friendly and helpful, but as soon as we checked in they continued carrying on.
On the walk to the room, the hallway carpets were very dirty. The ice machine was broken and had towels all over it oversoaked with all the water. We got in our room, and it looked nice and clean, but when we went to lock the door, the swing arm lock was missing. We looked through the courtesy hotel book and it was filled with drug, violence, and gang graffiti drawings on each page. We booked this hotel for the reason that they had a shuttle that went to the casino, as we were there to see Bill Cosby, and when we asked about it, we found out that it wasn't a shuttle, it was just some 'driver' who took you in his car to the place, but he didn't make trips after 10pm. Our showtime was 9pm. It was rediculous.
Then the next morning we went to the continental breakfast, and the attendant was verbally berating these children for making too many waffles, telling them she knows they won't eat all those and they can't have anymore. We weren't impressed at all.
Also, the free WiFi was non-existant in our room. We couldn't even detect a signal.
