Econo for sure!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/09/09
Our room seemed to be clean - thankfully. The room was as bare bones as it gets - tiny bathroom - move in to close the door. Had to go out and buy a blowdryer because the front desk could not (would not??) find one. After going to the desk 3 times to ask, I was finally told one could not be located - so I had to go out and buy my own. Disappointed in professionalism of the establishment - but unfortunately - guess that goes with the price.

DON'T RISK IT!
By , 01/26/09
This hotel - specifically room 111 -- is infested with bed bugs... Not only that, but the bed bugs are carrying staph aurious infection.... It's not fun, and almost as hard to get rid of as the bugs. When the general manager was informed that they were infested his response was "Still??" Completely unacceptable!

Gross, nasty, BEDBUG Lodge!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
This place is disgusting! The place is filled with bedbugs. I asked for a refund in the middle of the night, and was told the money had been refunded to my credit card. But, the hotel charged my card over three times the amount for the room! Now, they refuse to speak to me and won't refund my money. Don't stay here, sleeping in your car or under a bridge would be better!!!

Bed Bugs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/08
Stayed in April and came home with a mass of bed bugs! Rug was disgusting and the sheets were questionable. The sink dripped and we needed to be moved to another room which was just as bad and smelled musty. Stay away!

Won't be staying here again
By Nicole, 06/30/08
When arriving to checkin, the gentlemen who waiting on us could speak very little english, smelled of strong BO, and not the nicest person I've ever dealt with. Then a lady comes up right next to me, wanting to extend her stay, she appeared to be strung out on something. At this point, I'm thinking oh my gosh what have I gotten myself into, with 2 children. You could tell that some of the people staying there used this as their primary residence. The hotel is very run down, certainly not the dirtest that I've ever stayed in, but I surely didn't feel the safest. People were outside the rooms smoking until wee hours in the morning. Just would not recommend the hotel. Spend a little extra money for the comfort of safety.

low class joint
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/07
Our room seemed clean enough. We had a large handicapped accessable room with the depressing empty swimming pool view. The free wireless internet was a pleasant surprise. We noticed the low-rent crowd as we checked in, and heard them all too well from 3-3:30am as they returned from partying. The front desk clerk was so awful it was almost funny. She was deep in a personal phone call at first, then had to count all the cash in the drawer before she could give me my (zero balance)receipt at checkout. I finally gave up at the nickels because I didn't want to be watching her count pennies instead of getting to my meeting on time.

Think - "Economy"
By Paulette, 03/08/07
For my needs on this trip this was just acceptable. The location was OK. The hotel is obviously older and in need of some maintenance. They are trying, but I get the impression that money is too tight to fix everything. Our bath had a new ceramic tile floor, but the carpet in the rest of the room was old and stained. This non-smoking room stank of smoke. One problem with staying at an economy hotel is poorly-behaved guests. Loud music at 3am, loud cars at 4am. Front desk staff was fine for check-in but they allowed the coffee to run dry on the limited continental breakfast. If you want to save a few bucks, this place is OK. If you are with your wife, stay someplace fancier.

Disgusting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/06
We also had room 142. After two other nasty rooms (pubic hair in the bathroom, crumbs on the floors, cobwebs all over). We thought the "suite" was going to be sweet. Management promised they would "extra" clean the suite. Not only did it have the nastiest mildewy scent. The floor was wet and when bent down to get a closer look there were mushrooms growing on the carpet under the air conditioning unit, and the door jams was totally moldy. I hate to think of what it looks like under those carpets. I'm just hoping my family doesn't have any lasting effects of the mold. I have never had a bad experience with "cheap" hotels. But after this one I think I'll pay the extra just to make sure the room is clean. I definately would NOT stay here, or recommend it to my worst enemy

unsafe, unclean, unfriendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/07/06
The hotel/motel was unkept, unclean, and unsafe. The front desk management was rude and unbending when we complained about our hotel room and the filthy room and poor working old TV. The Bathroom sink was corroded and the shower stall was in need of repair. They said that this was the best they had to offer. We complained to Econo-Lodge corporate who said that this facility is franchised and that they would put in a request for better maintenance but held little hope with this particular franchisee. Do not stay her unless you are desperate.

By Abby, 03/09/06
I had never been in a hotel that had a hot tub right next to the bed. Room 142, i will never forget you!
