Definitely wasn't what I expected for $400/night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/07
Had to book a last minute hotel room for a meeting in Chicago, so paid more than average ($400). Room is extremely small, holes in sheets, someone's long blond hair on my towels, room is dark and not enough lighting, tiny bathroom. Front desk is so-so. They expect you to use the self-check in Kiosk instead of wasting their precious time. I'm a Hilton Gold member, have stayed in many Hiltons across US, would not recommend paying more than $80-$100 for this room. The only pro, is that it is convenient to the airport.

Frequent traveler, Never again!
By M Y, 4/25/07
Hints to future guests... guest checkin clerks very rude. Customer service VERY poor. Only hotel of many I have stayed at that I wrote a poor review about after only after I sprung for the high cost of the internet service. Do not pick up your rental car until you are needing it. Parking overnight is $38.00. Eat and drink before arriving. Food is outragiously high priced. locked fridge in room used only to sell golden priced sodas and other drinks. No microwave or usable fridge in room. TV channels only half worked. Small tub and shower. Small room area. A/C not cooling even the small room. bathroom sink drain broken. This Hotel offers nothing much for free as other hotel chains do. No managers evening meeting specials. No continental breakfast. could'nt find the pool or sauna. exercise room appeared to be a membership only. If you want to relax in the sports bar expect to max out your cards. a single domestic beer will cost you upwards of $8.50. snack foods start around $14.00. If I was offered this Hotel to stay for free I would decline as they would probably charge a breathing charge. They spent alot of money on the common areas but rooms suffer. I have stayed at many Hilton properties but will not stay at this one ever again.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/06
I've stayed at this hotel several times and LOVED it! The front desk staff is always friendly and helpfull. Rooms are great! My kids love to watch planes taking off. I would recommend this place to anyone. This hotel can really be a home away from home!

Good Location
By Rip Stylier, 2/28/06
Walking Distance to the Check in Counters via the Underground walkways. Clean Rooms. We had two connecting Rooms for a family of 7, meals at the Restaurant were not child friendly, but we only really wanted to be close for an early flight out.

Bad Treatment!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
We stayed there one night because United cancelled our flight. Like one of the other reviews here we also experienced bad treatment at the front desk upon check-in because we had one of the discounted vouchers from the airline. The attitude of the front desk clerk was terrible. This woman should not be in customer service. She made things difficult rather than being helpful and accomodating. We also had to settle for a smoking room when we requested a non-smoking room. The room stank when we first got there, but thanks to a pretty good ventilation system it cleared up after a while. I would not recommend this hotel because of the bad service at the front desk and would not stay there again.

Clean basic hotel, AWFUL service.
By Krista Y, 10/16/05
We ended up missing our connecting flight due to a delay, and were given a "discount" ticket for this hotel. (Not really all that discounted.) The hotel was easy to find. It only takes a few minutes to get to any of the terminals via the airport train which stops right in front of the hotel. The desk staff was absolutely awful - it is what makes me rate this hotel so very poorly. I have been treated 10 times better in discount motels. We were literally treated like trash. The woman who checked us in called my 1 year old son a "that", and when I requested a non-smoking room she rolled her eyes and said "We don`t give those rooms to discounters like YOU. You`re just gonna have to deal with it." Having a son with reactive respiratory syndrome and NEEDING a smoke free room, I was apalled. We were eventually able to get her to give us a non-smoking room by paying full price. The room itself was decent, good bed, good shower - but without ANY extras other than shampoo/soap and coffee. The room was stocked with a large selection, but none of it complimentary. Even a toothbrush cost $4.95 if you used it! We were offered nothing even though our luggage was gone. When I attempted to contact everyone via laptop to let them know about the delay, I found that even rudimentary internet access had a large fee. If I had been staying there on business I would have been EXTREMELY disappointed. This is *not* a cheap hotel. I expected some better service. Room service was very good, but again the phone service to take our order was pushy and rude. Cleaning barged into our room without knocking at 6 AM and refused to leave without a tip even though they couldn`t clean with us there. I HATED this hotel. I have stayed at other Hiltons, and the service is always wonderful. This hotel was like a nightmare. I will NEVER stay there again for any reason.

Nice Hotel with very good service
By Janine W, 6/7/05
The staff was very helpful when my family and i stayed there. Seeing that i was with an infant they were always very curtious and offered a much needed helping hand. :) Hotel itself was very clean. Would definately stay there again.

Convenient to Airport
By cheryl, 9/10/04
We had a sales conference and training at the Hilton and the conference rooms were setup and service was very good. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Close to the airport, actually right at the airport. Opted to eat at the causaul restaraunt, Grill type food, was very good and service was fast.

Great for a layover, nothing more.
By snufericious, 9/9/04
United cancelled one of my flights and I actually did burst out in tears because that was the last flight out of o'hare. They pulled me aside and set me up at the HIlton O'hare for a night stay and gave me a $10 meal coupon.

The hilton is about a 5 min busride away from the main terminal which was easy. Just make sure you get on the right hotel bus (there are a MILLION). The staff was friendly and checked me in real quick. The lobby area is nothing to shout about, obviously appealing to the average business traveler I guess cos it totally turned me off.

ANyways, I really like the room. It was very clean and the colors of the wall and beddings were very warm. This is my favourite part. They knew from my ticket that I was one of those poor united travelers who got shafted that night. They actually buzzed someone up to my room with a toothbrush kit and a free t-shirt too they thought might help since I didnt have my suitcase on me. They also gave me extra toiletries and asked me if I needed anything else at all "so that I will feel comfortable" which I thought was AWESOME. Ended up leaving a big fat tip.

The $10 coupon was useless at the hotel since the food was overpriced so I ended up using it at O'hare instead.

I didnt pay for this room so really I was quite pleasantly surprised. I was actually expecting the Quality Inn or something of that sorts. Possibly the closest hotel to the airport, so for those on a tight schedule, you might want to consider this hotel.
