Lexington Inn/Suites-Chicago West/Elgin, Elgin

i dnt think this hotel is that bad... sure it needs some things fixed but, overall i had a good time... $67 per night not bad, good staff.. ill definitely go back one day.

RUN back to your car before you check in. There are other motels about 10 miles west. The stench in the room kept me up all night because I was worried about what I was breathing, and Im a SMOKER. No amount of money is worth THIS!

The first room we were given had no plug in the bathtub, and only a few of the cable channels that were offered. When I asked the staff about the cable problem, they asked which channels were out. I advised that they were mostly local channels, and was told that they didn't offer local channels, even though their website said otherwise. They moved us to another room. The TV wasn't much better, but the bathtub had a tub, so our son could take a bath, so we stayed in this room. The next morning, I noticed exposed electrical wires where a coverplate was broken. When we checked out, I told the staff about the issues, but we were never offered an appology. It was like we were inconviencing them by staying at their motel. We received no response from the email or snail mail we sent to the management on the issues with our stay.

Kids got to swim, and I got to sleep. Great continental breakfast, and the staff was so friendly like a down home family.
