Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, Chicago

We stayed at the Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile while in Chicago on a business trip. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located ~ step outside the doors and you're right on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Our room was tastefully done and comfortable and had all the business amenities one might need. The staff was helpful and quick to respond. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

We've stayed at the Marriott on several occasions, both in the springtime and at Thanksgiving. It's a lovely hotel with magnificent views, and it is near several shopping attractions, such as Nordstrom's, but it does have its drawbacks. 1) The rooms, though beautiful, are quite small. If you take more than a step away from the foot of the bed, you will run into the wall or a desk. 2) The room service is way overpriced! Expect an average breakfast for three to cost anywhere between $45-$55. The food usually arrives cold or, at the very best, lukewarm. Try the coffee shop in the lobby, instead. 3) A number of the staff members are very rude! My friend and I--we were about twelve or eleven at the time--were having fun jumping into their very small pool, as we had seen others do just moments before. One of the staff members came running over and began berating us. She said, "If you keep jumping, I'm kicking you out of here! It's clearly posted: you can't jump into this pool!" Well, as we were leaving the pool, we read the rules, and there was nothing about jumping into the pool on their rules. Also, the valet yelled at me when I went to stand next to my mother at the front of the claim line. However, it is a beautiful hotel, and it looks great around Christmas and Thanksgiving, with great decorations.

The hotel is well located to bus and many of the famous restaurants and sightseeing locations. The food , service and elevators were great. Its 45 stories tall.

hotel rooms were adequate and Ventoso was better than average with prices a little on the high side. Plenty of convention space, but terrible elevator service. Waits were up to 15 minutes and this happened daily. No explanation was given by hotel for this situation.

Great location; good food in Ventoso, convention attendees were given the attention in their individual rooms and meeting rooms that they deserved. However, elevator service was way below what it should have been and there was no explanation given by hotel why this was the case.

Liked hotel and service except for a spider that bit me while asleep in my bed. filed complaint and got no help at all.

The Marriott is very Central to Shopping and Restaurants downtown. It is two blocks from the Subway and not a bad walk to Pier 39. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Well I liked the cleaness the food the well mannered people they was respecting and no attitude problems I just love the hotel and their works.

This Marriott is in a great location - quick walk to the Magnificent Mile shopping. The lobby bar is large and comfortable with cozy seats and sofas. Service is very good and the beds are very comfortable. Rooms are a good size and updated.

The Mariot is right in the heart of chicago and within walking distance of everything. Nike town gap ect are all a 2 minute walk
