Motel 6 Joliet, Joliet

We have stayed at this hotel for a few years because it just seems easier than trying to find a better hotel. But this last July was the end of our patience with this hotel. Our hotel door didn't lock, told the front desk twice & it finally got fixed the day we checked out. Had to carry all our belonging with us to the track for the entire weekend. The women behind the counter the night we arrived was rude. After driving for 2 1/2 hours only to get rudeness was unacceptable. We had no toliet paper in our room & had to ask for it. The carpet was dirty, the walls needs a coat of paint. This hotel room is normally $40.00 bucks a night but due to NASCAR weekend we were charged over 100.00 with tax per night (Friday & Saturday) Highway robbery if you ask me. Sunday morning a man was robbed outside in broad daylight in the parking lot. I called the corporate headquarters & received nothing from them. Not even a letter of acknowledgement or an apology. So Motel 6 will no longer get my money in any state. I hope this place gets new management because it really needs it. This place is only good if you need a place to sleep & shower & than you really have to wonder if there is some place better.
