Great stay!
By R, 09/17/08
Our stay at this hotel was very positive. The beds are wonderful! Very rarely can you get a good nights rest in a hotel -- this was a pleasant change. The breakfast in the morning was good with many choices. The kids especially liked the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream! Not your typical hotel breakfast. The hotel staff was very helpful through out our stay. Location is within walking distance to many historic attractions. The hotel and our room was clean and very comfortable.

Great Experience!
By Fair7maiden, 05/01/07
On visiting family in Springfield, last summer, we had a wonderful time at the State House Inn. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, I really liked the bathroom set up and the employees were so nice to us. There was a piano in the lobby that my son would play and the hot complimetary breakfast was Awesome!. We could see the State Capitol from our room. I loved everything about the experience and we will most definately be back!!!

Route 66 Made Easy!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/06
The motel itself from the outside was not what I expected. It looked more like an office building. The inside however was amazing. Completely revamped! 1960's stylish, clean and so accomodating to the Route 66 Festival we attended. Everything was within walking distance. The parking for vintage vehicles was well lit and safe, although limited somewhat. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff greeted and served us with a smile. Our experience here was so nice we cant wait to go back again! Route 66'ers, book early for a great place to stay with friendly staff and excellent accomodations at a reasonable price!

state fair
By Terry, 05/26/06
we stay there every two years when we go back to the fair in august and are very pleased with everything. i remember the way it was when it was built and was pleased to see it kept the same. the breakfest is fantastic the only problem with it is you cant stop eating. i have found that you can get better rates if you get your reservations in advance, we get ours the first of the year for august as the fair takes its toll on finding a room.

Nice Hotel especially inside
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/06
When I saw the outside of the Hotel I was a little dissapointed (dated to 1960's) but inside....it's also dated back to the 1960's but the inside is in remarkably good condition! What a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent as well as the free breakfast. The rooms were very clean and in excellent condition.

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/05
This is a clean, quiet, comfortable motel with a nice view of the Illinois State House and a great complimentary breakfast! My granddaughter's favorite blanket was accidentally left there last summer and it was graciously mailed back at no cost to us! We were not only appreciative, but impressed and plan to stay there on our return trip to Springfield this year.
