Guesthouse Lodge Sandpoint, Sandpoint

WOW! We stayed here last year when it was a Super 8, and it nothing like it is now! It is a REAL lodge hotel. The only thing that was the same as last year was the expectionally low rate, even the lobby was completely different; fireplace and really nice leather sofas. I was truly surprised when we walked in. Most hotels say that the have "renovated," but all they really did was repaint it. The owners must have gutted this whole building! Our room had log furniture! The breakfast was great in the morning. We even got to make our own waffles. It was a lot of fun. The staff was friendly and fun. They really helped our stay adventurous with all of the tips on Sandpoint. See you next year, GuestHouse Lodge!

I stayed there two different times with my 4yr old son and we had a good time, he really enjoyed the "huge warm bath" (24hr hot tub) We were snowboarding at Schwietzer, and it is a great location right at the base of the mountian cut off road. They also sell discounted lift tickets to Schwietzer. It is within a couple of blocks of any thing you would need while away from home; Wallmart, Starbucks, a couple of gas stations, a few fast food places along with a couple of resturaunts ( I recomend Slates), two sporting stores, and most important the mountian. As for the hotel, check in was simple, and I thought my room was clean and decoratated well for the price range it is in. The service was good, they gave me recomendations, directions, and extra towels with hesitation. They had outside outlets to plug my diesel truck in overnight, and I could see my truck from the room. I left my camcorder and my camera in the dresser drawer, and when I called they had already found it and set it in the office for me to come back and get it (they held for three weeks until I could get back there). All in all I would recomend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice room at one of the cheapest hotels I found in Sandpoint, especially if you are there to access Schwietzer Moutian Resort.

The place was a hole! It was dirty and the people running it were thieves. One of the employees was caught by my co-worker rummaging through his things. They also were double charging the same co-worker on his credit card and it took him months to get it resolved. I would sleep in my car instead of that dump!

My husband and I stayed for a four days. The staff are both friendly and helpful. This is a not a fancy hotel or even a really nice motel, however, if you are looking for a clean room and a safe nights stay, this is Motel proves to be a good choice. The price is very reasonable.
