LIED TO ME
By ,
I contacted the Hilton in Idaho Falls shortly after the 4th of July 2009... spoke with the manager... asked about a room with a view of the 4th fireworks. He called me back several days later to tell me they had a suite with a view of the fireworks available for the 4th celebration 2010. I had not asked for a suite, but he told me it had the view we wanted. I booked the room. My group made all of our plans for the holiday based on this. As the display started, we couldn't see ANY of it... when we asked the front desk, we were told they they "never tell anyone that the fireworks are viewable"... but the manager had called me back to book the room for that very thing... We coold have booked two king rooms at the super eight across the street for half the price and more/better sleeping arrangements and planned and planned on walking over to watch the show for HALF the price... they have a pool, which is the only thing we used at the Hilton. The Super Eight also provides a continnental breakfast. Not only were we very upset that they lied to us, but when my daughters fiance came to pick her up that evening, a parking attendant NAZI treated them and my husband horribly. You can keep your fancy decorations... we will never spend another dime at ANY Hilton/Hampton facility. I am going to swee that my HI account is closed! We travel a bit every year... but I will sleep in my car before I every stay with them. We like staying in nice places, but will cross them off our list. I know they won't care, but I am very upset that they cheated us. They can count on me sharing our experience with every neighbor, friend, family member, acquaintnace, client, etc., that we know/meet!

Lovely Place to Stay
By ,
My husband stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Idaho Falls for five months during a work assignment. I joined him for nearly 3 of those same months, and we both enjoyed our stay very much. First of all the staff were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Each morning we enjoyed fresh, rich coffee and made-to-order breakfasts all the while chatting with the fun-loving waitresses. Our rooms were freshened daily and we were provided with anything we needed to make our stay as homey as possible. The housekeeping was highly professional and friendly, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the large-screen TV. We had a large room overlooking the Snake River and across the river, the strikingly stark white Mormon temple was reflected in the water at night making a splendid sight. The hotel is located next to the Snake River Walk which is about a 2.5 mile walking path around the river. The famous falls are only a few blocks up the street. We were here to enjoy the ducks and geese and all their cute offspring which feast on crumbs people throw them along the walkway. There is a well-stocked bar and the bartenders were professional and friendly. When we wanted something different there are several chain restaurants and local restaurants and bars within walking distance or a short drive. The pool and hot tub are kept spotlessly clean and it is so relaxing to swim in the slightly heated water of the pool and sit in the hot tub after a long day. The gym is equipped with steppers, treadmills, bicycles and weights. There are monitors in the steppers so that you can pick what you want to watch privately or you can watch what everyone else is watching on the gym TV. Overall, I will say that this place is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, and we have lived in hotels all over the world! We are naturally happy to be going home after being away so long, but we will miss all the friends we have made here at the Hilton Gardens of Idaho Falls. I would recommend this place to anybody who is visiting or working in Idaho Falls. If I ever get the chance to come back, I would choose to stay here.

Great Stay
By ,
Room with sliders and a balcony overlooked the Snake River was beautiful. Watching the geese, ducks and their babies was a treat. Beds were so comfortable (evolution adjustments) and pillows were tops! Hotel appointments were beautiful with comfortable chairs and sofas. Double sided fireplace in lobby will sure to be enjoyed by all. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was all you can eat and with a wide variety of items. Service was excellent. Hotel is new and beautiful. Courtesy van to the airport was a short 10 minutes ride. Definetly will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn again when visiting Idaho Falls!

worst sleep
By ,
WE made reservations for a King room and service was good with our room and keys ready at check-in. We then called the front desk from our room since it was on the first floor facing the parking lot and there were NO Curtains installed in the room. Service brought us keys for a new room on the Third floor with curtains. We sat on the much aclaimed Garden Sleep System bed --it was hard..okay we ensured that the dials on the sides were on the softest setting.....we both had one of the the worst nights rest on a hotel bed in our lives. The room heater fans are LOUD. ...Location was nice, amenities were nice ...although more expensive than any other Motel/Hotel in Idaho Falls..new rooms were nice........ We stay in various hotels in Idaho Falls every month---will not stay here again. It's back to Fairfield were we can have a Softer Bed, Free Breakfast, and less expensive
